I posted this above on the 08/28

Impasse created by a German Soviet Italian and Chinese Alliance, with the British unable to throw in with Japan and USA as it would get obliterated by the Axis and Chinese and the Soviets.
Are we like late Rome, infatuated with past glories, ruled by a complacent, greedy elite, and hopelessly powerless to respond to changing conditions?
