The antiaircraft fire from the British ships makes the German bombers drop their payload way before they could hit anything at all.

But the German command send their aircraft back out again with new bombs. Will the CW stay or abort?

Neither search was successful. Axis rolled a 5 while CW rolled a 10.

Germany send 4 bombers to bomb two French cities. Japan send three bombers that bomb three Chinese cities.

France can send one fighter to intercept the bombers targeting Metz. Germany can counter-intercept with two 5 strength fighters. How will France respond?

The German bombers fail to find Metz, but the bombers targeting Lyons more than make up for it and the industrial area of the city takes massive damage.

Jan/Feb 1940
Impulse: 11

Having read the rule, the US subs do not proceed to Pago Pago or Hawaii [:)] but the Convoy does.

Another cruiser is sent into the Black Sea in a massive show of force by the Soviet Black Sea fleet.

The various powers continue with the same game plan as before Chinese - running, Soviets heading for Bessarabia, CW heading for Libya and France tinkering with too few units.

The turn continues on a 10.

The fine weather is because the 6 was modified to a 9.

----

When I get around to doing my impulse Germany will declare war on Belgium. No real surprise there but I wanted to give you a heads-up anyway.
