CW chooses surface combat.

D on CW causes BB Rodney to abort.

X on Germany sinks CA.

Is Germany going to continue the fight?

Allies decline naval combat.

Axis can initiate combat if they want in two sea areas.

Unfortunately I have to quit now and get to bed.

North Sea: Axis 8, Allied 3. No combat.

Rail move
USSR rails Mongolian CAV to Blagovyeshcensk (or something like that in Siberia).

USSR moves their units on Rumanian border.

China moves only few units, retreating few hexes in the middle.

USSR rebases bomber to Persian front and bomber + fighter to East Poland.

Weather is now nice again!

Once again I found myself too busy to move Polish units. Note to self: Place them next time so that you don't need to move them at all.

0.* attacking 0 combat factors is still automatic. Notionals tend to have 0 combat factors if they are out of supply (and not next a friendly corps or in a city or their own home nation hex).

1.5:1 would be 3:2, because that is actually a column in the CRT. 1.5:2 would round to 1:1. Or, with 1.5 ground support and 1.5 shore bombardment, 4.5:2->5:2. On the 1d10 CRT.
On 2D10 I'm not sure, but I believe it remains 4.5:2 = 2,25:1 = 4.5 mods which then rounds to 5 modifiers. But this may only work like this because I play with fractional odds.
1.5:1 would be 2:1 because of the rule cut in below.

Cut from RAC:
11.16.5 Resolving attacks
Add up the attacking units’ (modified) combat factors, shore bombardment and ground support. Round the
total to the nearest whole number (rounding 0.5 up).
Total the defending units’ factors in the same way.

I think there is some confusion with the wording of some rules, that ADG seemingly have tried to correct in RAW8.102, 11.15.5 (11.16.5 in RAW7):
Divide the attacker’s total by the defender’s total to work out the basic ratio between them. Locate the nearest column on the Land Combat Results Table, rounding in favour of the defender (e.g. 19.5:5 = 3.9:1 which rounds to 3:1, not 4:1).
Note that they do not round 19.5:5 to 20:5 before calculating the odds ratio. They have indeed also removed the wording "immediately before calculating an odds ratio" from the section where they explain when and how to round. In example 2 of 11.16.5, they round 11:6 (1.8:1) to column 3:2, not 2:1. If playing with fractional odds there would be an additional 60% chance that the attack might be a 2:1 instead of 3:2.

Before carrying on with more substantive plans, the Little Corporal is asked to mediate in some border disputes. Granting the Bulgarian and Hungarian claims is the quickest solution and then it's back to business.

No DoW's.

Japan land. Germany combined. Italy naval.

Italy sends FTR from La Spezia to West Med 2-box.

Germany sends 2 U-boats to the North Sea 3-box.

Italy sends CP to Italian Coast. Does the sub intercept?

CW wants to sink CP's during naval combat phase.

West Med

Searches: Axis 2, Allies 10.

Italy chooses 3 and 4 boxes.

Fly all as fighters? F3F as front plane, then the 2-2 Swordfish?

I was worried when I saw roll on email that entire Italian fleet was there...

Only one round air to air combat, but Allies stay.

Yes, I wish it was now.

The Italians use surprise both to boost their A2A value and reduce the Allies. The combat is short.

North Sea

The 3 factor U-boat initiates searching. Do CW want to fly the Harrow? It can reach 2-box.

Searches: Axis 5, Allies 3.

I figure the Allies will just want a go at the subs, so include the 3-box only.

Naval Air combat?

I think surface causes more losses for Germany. Nelson can take first hit for CW. Maximum damage is CW target, I want subs gone.

If CW takes X and 2 points for damage increase only causes more A's, then reduce damage.
