Hi Fogger

Great AAR thanks for sharing it. I am playing my first ever game of the original FITE scenario v Larry at the moment and hugely enjoying it. I believe another poster has raised some concerns over certain casualty rates in FITE 2 and given how far you are into the game could you confirm you are finding all is working as it should ?

It looks an epic project that I would maybe really enjoy but before I have it a go I thought I should get your thoughts.

Thanks again for the AAR.....it is really appreciated.

Hi Ian
This game is an earlier test version when Willie and I were testing FITE2 under TOAW 4 beta. In this version of the game the Russians are too strong more than the Germans are too weak. I did not get as far as the Germans did in 42 and took heavier casualties. Not as bad as the first couple of test games when I was stopped dead after about 100km advance.

In the current version this has been corrected. Willie and I decided to play on to the end to check for any small bugs. (like a Panzer HQ with a movement allowance of 1 also fixed)

If you are going to start a game it will take 2-3 years to finish if you play to the end. Willie and I started this current game Oct 2015. I would also hold off for a short time because I think Soren and Kristian will be releasing an update shortly.

On a person note I love the game and FITE2 is the only scenario that I now play.

John

Hi John

Thanks for the info that is really useful. I would be quite happy to play a game over 2-3 years.......FITE has already given me a taste for slowly developing epic scenarios ! I will need to wait for a full TOAW IV patch anyway as I am too much of a neanderthal to use the updates in the mods section of the forum so hopefully any update Soren and Kristian do to FITE 2 will be included in an official patch.

All the best and be assured I will conitue to check in regularly to this AAR to see how you are coping with the onslaught [:)]

FYI. I currently have 2411 units in play. We NEED a fast way of digging all those units in. One by one is taking a long time.

Maybe down the track the HQ can have a dig in all units button?

Aye. Something better than one group at a time. This is something we've been asking to be available for a very very long time. [:(]

The start of turn 255 and Willie's winter attack. 197 bombard attacks and 12 ground attacks. Two holes one 15km's and the other 5kms already in my line and a Bn about to be surrounded just north of Daugavpils. Down at Gorki Willie has also made 2 small advances of 5kms by pushing my units back

I have just sent turn 255 off to Willie. I pulled Das Reich Division back to save it from being encircled and to form a line in front of Willie. I entend to fight a delaying action as I fall back on the MLR

Just got Willies turn back (turn 256 1 Dec 43) and this is an overview of AGN & most of AGC. The Das Reich Division has been pushed back and hit hard. The 3 yellow circles is where Willie is attacking

This the balance of AGC. Another break in and it would appear that Willie is going hard and fast.

Now on turn 257. 256 was a very short turn and all I was able to do was destroy the unit that is the top of the above picture.
