Turn 36: January 3, 1941

the Italian bombers there ineffective. Those bombers are set to do not repair/upgrade.

How do you set units to not repair/upgrade? I know pushing the priority button either turns it on (so units get upgraded 1st) or off (so units will upgrade repair after all the priority units). But I don't know how to turn off repairs/upgrades completely.

As far as I understand it there are three options.
1. Normal
2. Press green cross for priority
3. Turn off reinforce and upgrade completely

I don't think there is a "low priority" option.

Next to the transport icon for each counter, all the way to the left is a picture of a wrench I think. If you click it a big red x appears through the icon and if you hover over it it says reinforcements/upgrade off.

Germany gets heavy armor 41. Romania builds an infantry division.

Germany is at 99% manpower and builds a large corps.

Turn 39, February 14, 1941

Our surface raiders sink 4 merchants. Not a spectacular result.
The fleet heads to Brest, while our wolfpack heads to sea.

Germany builds a 10 landing ships and a large corps.

I wonder, when is there guaranteed good weather coming, May?
I know the historical invasion of Russia only happened in late June.

Turn 40: February 28, 1941

It rained today.

Two armor corps and a Canadian infantry unit are approaching Tehran.
Talk about over-use of resources!

Bulgaria builds an infantry division and turns on upgrades.

Germany builds a heavy armor corps.

The weather in the Atlantic is clear so we don't send our fleet out to raid.

Thank you Baloo. I looked "everywhere" for something like that and couldn't find it. This is the #1 thing that irritates my wife; well... maybe not #1, but in the top 10 anyway.

O

I wonder, when is there guaranteed good weather coming, May?
I know the historical invasion of Russia only happened in late June.

In May, there is a 75% chance of clear in the North Moderate zone and an 85% chance in the Arctic Zone. In June, there is a 100% chance in the North Moderate zone and a 95% chance in the Arctic zone.

We go on a limited offensive in Algeria. Casualties are high on both sides,
but especially with the Italian air force, which will soon be disbanded.

We make a single suicidal attack with an Italian bombers in Algeria,

I don't know if everyone is aware, but Sillyflower is from Great Britain.
Which makes the only fun and logical thing to do in an AAR to take Great Britain away from him.

I wasn't ready for the weather to clear this early though. We still have 2 paratroopers
arriving (one this month), and 2 Italian paratroopers who for obvious security reasons could
not be moved to France.

This is where I spend 10 minutes staring at the map.

The best place for attack seems to be Plymouth, but he may have strong forces there.
Another alternative is Worthing, but there are a lot of British units nearby. What
finally settles it is that I strongly suspect he has a very weak garrison in Bristol.

Of course first we have to deal with the Royal Air Force.

At this stage it is important to note that the Allies have very strong forces in the Middle East
and also a fairly strong presence in Algeria. Hence I don't think we face more than... 2-3 bombers
and 2-3 interceptors at the very worst.

Here's what we do. We take heavy cruisers, one by one, and sail them first to the eastern channels,
then to a rendezvous-point to the west. All under air cover (I think).

If I read the summaries correctly we lose 6 interceptor steps and one naval step, and the Allies lose
7 interceptors steps and 28!!! bomber steps. I'm really not sure I'm reading it correctly because it
also says a total of 6 naval air step losses for the defender. When I look at my interceptors at the end
of the turn, I've lost a total of 9 steps. It seems there is only a single British interceptor in range,
far too little to defend the UK.

Either way it is a great victory in the skies. Too bad about all those British aircraft in Egypt!

Then comes the moment of truth... a full, strong infantry corps in Plymouth.
