Back to standoff in Africa but again the US navy do a good job now raiding Bengazi sinking a ca and infliciting severe damage on a BB.

Rush reserves to contain the Finns. But these units are needed elsewhere so not so good.

In the south try to contain the invasion. I placed a aircraft unit that will get overrun well done .

Rostov breakthrough at least for now bottled up but this is close. I dont have much reserve units any longer.

And on the central front more mech units show up.

June 19 1942

Situation on the Atlantic a little bit better now. I am upp to 150 mm lowest point was 97 also US have got some as well. Escorts up to 25 with another 23 in the queue arriving in the next 6 months.

But it is not over. My escort tech is so slow still 150 days from 43 tech whereas German subs are now 44 tech.

In the east the fighting going on. It is very nervewrecking and exciting [:)]. In the North the Finns landed themselves in a bit of a pickle. I got one corps to surrender and maybe I will catch another one

On the central front the new German superweapon is revealed.. *Drumroll* it is the cavalry corps. I have detected 4 on the front this turn. I immediately attacked and managed to shatter one.

And the furious fighting in the south. The Germans will probably connect Rostov with the invading units. I managed to shatter a italian and German inf corps so Soviets are not toothless but units looks a bit worn down and I am really lacking some reserve units. I have none in the building queue as all production is on replacement. Good thing manpower at a decent 91%.

July 3 1942

In the north the pocket still holds. Crossing my fingers!

I give way in the middle. My units a bit tired and I dont want to risk too much.

In the south next turn I think the Axis will connect forces.

I surrounded the German inf corps. It did surrender but the attacks were costly.

Still probably 6 turns of clear weather to survive.

In Africa with impeccable timing my opponent makes a daring move. A German arm corps land in the Sinai and manage to occupy Port Said. Mistake of me why did I not have a full corps there. I was just going to launch some kind of invasion expedition but thats on hold now. All forces rush back and if the axis corps doesnt retreat it will probably die here. Also landingcraft cost 150 pp so not completely free. Still very annoying [:)]

July 17 1942

In Africa I gather all my forces. I made one inf italian inf corps shatter and now the bridgehead for now is contained. 6 aa in Port Said wont be easy to get rid of these pesky invaders but there is hope.

In southern Russia I finally have to give up the rail line south of Rostov but at least I still hold on to a couple of hexes north of Rostov.

Rest of the Front the Germans advanced into the area I gave up. In Finland I did finish off the 2nd Finnish corps so the Finnish threat will be way smaller for a while now.

I guess the counter set you are using didn't have a little horse icon for the cavalry.
Probably has advantages for the German. Doesn't use gas. And if surrounded you can eat your horses.[:D]

Situation in the North.

And in the South. The battle for the Rostov supply corridor rages on and I again manage to shatter a German arm corps.

Only 4 turns of summer left.

The Invasion of Port Said a disaster. I eliminate a Italian Mech so that is good. But with the channel closed I dont think Alexandria gives supply so so many units on basic supply not receiving reinforements. I think I will abanondon Egypt and fight this out in Spain and France.

Continue fighting in the south this turn I shatter a inf corps and cav corps. In general pretty happy with how this summer developed.
