Moulmien and the base next to it fell to a daring para raid, cutting off the supply line to akyab front... a is starting to wither as fort level down to 5

I hit several smaller convoys uo in Nortgern NG, but missed one I chased with a carrier group that had a BB...
z has graciuoslt agreed to invade the three remaining bases in the kami zone, Borneo area
I still am too chicken to attack a well garrisoned atoll.. Lex2 and york 2 are now out, with Wasp, Essex and Eterprise getting there hulls repainted. I was hopinfg to strike into Indonisia soon

Well into 10 43 now, and Moulmienm just fell back to the Japs .. They moved quick on that one and caught me .. trapped some damaged 40's on the ground.. Akayb down to a fort level 4, and falling... and more troops just arived in Karachi including a cool us tank unit wit ha huge assualt value...
Z sortied some CA and BB to bombard Moulmien, so we know where they are, Singapore... Soon my next phase of invasion Indonisia will begin

Just saw my 54 plane Avenger group delist half the planes to reserves.. ouch.. time for some low level straffing to kill off some.. I find one of the hardest aspects of this game is managing my beat up air groups for my carriers.

nearing the end of 10 43 and soon my forward bases will be size 4, Akyab already is.. and Eniweok,sp?.. was shelled by Jap BB's presumably out of Tokyo. Gaum will be pounded once those two bases near it reach significant strength.. and the base in Northern tip of NG is now at a three.. as it approaches 4 I have scouted and found LARGE Jap concentrations... Palue, Ambonia, Kendari.. I have also slowly started the troop and base development out of OZ.. in 44 we will see SRA become the new hotbed of activity and the navel goal to sink as much shipping as possible .... hopefully I can get Z to commit to a large cv battle again with his remaining cariers... and those UNSINKABLE BB's he has.. well.. we should be in a good place to hit them where ever they are by end of 44...
One mistake.. out of many of course.. was to allow too many 24 to upgrade, severly straining the capacity to fill the dead plane ranks as they are lost, and leavingtoo many old 24 models in the pool... did a much better job with the 17's. Noticed I just got 5 more US provisional Tank batalions in India.. YEH... if I had anouther large air wing of heavies over there I would mount operation Rangoon Freedom, but untill I can safely transit the Indian ocean .. ie his airfields are bombed into dust, that operation is on hold....

OK we just hit 11/43. This turn I hurt the Lex II bad near Davado, and the turn before sunk the Alabama. Things are going OK, he is moving as expected.

Here is the score and such.

Yep when they fly unescorted into 50 to 100 fighters that will happen and then try to fly 10 or more hexes home. I am surprised he has not lost more, he has them coming over 10 to 14 hexes a lot.

you really could lose a lot less by going so much slower, I just decided that I wanted to push as hard as possible, and see how early I can desroy the Japs, may backfire...as I have lost so many ships.. but he has lost a good deal too, and as the sra/PI falls, as Burma is currently being pushed on as well, the losses will mount.. I get TONS of troops and supplies and ships and planes.. I guess as long as I am not getting beaten by a auto victory in Jan 44, I will be "winning" in one sence and "losing" in another.. points vs land taken back....
Maybe bit off too much the last few days as his betties show they can still get to me...
Time to circle the wagens and do the Uber death star for the invasion of Gaum... currnetly on track for early 44

He has gone fast, and he can. Like the aliens from the movie Independance Day. He is a locast moving from base to base, not so much that I can do. I can only hope to inflict some damage.

I have bombed Kendari to dust, and soon we will be moviung into Indonesia/Borneo/SRA
He only has a few air bases left from which to defend, unforturnately he just killed off or damaged two Essex carriers and one 43 BB... I am not happy.. time for Wewak to fall as I am pooring troops daily into the fray, it must be isolated now for seems like 3 months?..
In Burma he was able to retreat just as my troops arived in trial next to Akayb...

Akayb is so important due to the limited range of the lib 6's now it is a five they are hitting Rangoon, pummulling it to dust... and in a few months I will be able to shuttle large bombers in from the new bases which will go online in Indonesia/sra...
From there we will reduce or conqure Moulmien and Tavoy.. opening the way to invasions and taking the Indian coast of MAly... opening way to bombing Singapore and the coast of south east asia, Vietnam Cambodia

as We work East and North from Oz more supply lines will be cut and the push to capture PI will be set for mid 44 after which we will take several Islands from which massive bombing campaiegn will commence...

Things to note, Z has good pilolots left through carefull use... he has some cv's, he only lost 5, only 41 cv left is Kaga, presumable in port for repairs from mid 43 battle, but may be free soon. The US get something like 50 cve/cvl in 44 alone.. plus many that are in port for repairs will be out... so lots of naval capabilities... and many early BB models still left, plus we start getting the Iowa class soon....

Since troops are already in NG, I probably will march on the two remaining JAp bases in the North...

As the bases grow in size.. I will soon be within range of my short range groups from northern NG to support the advances springing from there... Darwin now in seeing a large combat group aswembling, as are midway and eniwek,sp?..
My limitation again are the ability to use carrier air... just got another cv, and in 4-6 months will get the damaged ones out of port, till then I am pretty much on the need to us4e lba, and SRA/Indonesia are perfect for that.. so after Wewak falls, should be soon as they are staraved and I have very large forces pounding them, these guys will be attacking another base...

?? for hte crowd.. should I attack Wake to use as a forward sub base?
I already am using Hollandia

No they are worthless CVE's which I forgot where there since I have not used them in like a year. They were lost, oh well.

At least I can pummel his "trapped" fleet units there.. very bad port with a lond one way to the sea exit.. right into my waiting fleets arms.... but he did sneak a carrier group out and hit a landing group in western NG... sunk a cve, and now that group must die....
Wish I could get some of his BB in close and put some fish in them... soon very soon
Tavoy is being bombed now.. and next will be Bankok..sp?
wish I had 6 para units and some 600 transports like in Europe.....
In other news a heavy minefield supported by a shore batery klept my trops out of PAnape, they have been diverted to points west..
Since he sunk a carrier and several other ships last raid... I put a huge number of cap up.. and of course no Betty raids on my carriers ... this is very frustrating...
