-14 Blenheim IV escorted by 8 Buffalo I bombard Akyab.
-21 G4M1 bombard Calcutta.

South Pacific theatre

-23 G4M1 bombard Port Moresby.
-The japanese (two SNLF units) capture Admiralty islands.

Northern Australia theatre

-16 Bettys escorted by 50 zeros bombard Darwin. 3 Wirraway and 1 Hudson I destroyed.

DEI theatre

-The SS Argonaut launch a torpedo salvo against the CVL Zuiho near Kendari but fails. In the counterstrike is damaged by DD Minazuki.
-14 G4M1 bombard Batavia. 31 casualties.

Burma/Malasya theatre

-54 Ki-21 escorted by 26 Ki-27 bombard Magwe. 56 casualties.
-12 Blenheim IV escorted by 6 Buffalo I bombard Akyab.

South Pacific theatre

-The japanese land over Gasmata. 24 casualties.

-The 111th RCT arrives to Paramushiro Jima. The japanese reaction do not exist. The DD Aylwin is damaged by the coastal gunfire.

DEI theatre

-The KB is located in Makassar strait by the SS KXII.
-23 Ki-21 and 9 Ki-48 bombard Benkolen. 8 runway hits.
-40 Bettys bombard Soerbaja. 133 casualties.

South Pacific theatre

-27 G4M1 escorted by 18 zeros bombard Port Moresby. 11 casualties.
-The japanese capture Gasmata.

-21 G4M1 escorted by 6 zeros bombard Port Moresby.

Northern Australia theatre

-11 G4M1 escorted by 51 zeros bombard Darwin. 1 Betty, 4 Wirraway and 1 Hudson I destroyed. 5 runway hits.

To quote from Evans/Peattie`s {Kaigun}
"Mistakes in operations and tactics can be corrected, but
political and strategic mistakes live forever". The authors were refering to Japan but the same could be said of the US misadventure in Iraq
