Filler Names

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Not myself, particularly...but my childhood neighbor was one of the crazies that used to slalom Grasshoppers between telephone poles in between artillery spotting missions. I always though he deserved a promotion to a combat unit...so now's his chance. Jack Rombough's his name, may he rest in peace. Clearly he'd prefer fighters to bombers...but I'll leave that up to you.

Another name if there is room:

Captain Everett Craft, USAAAF, P-51 pilot in the 8th AF, your choice of squadron.

In reality, Everett Craft was my high school English teacher, an Army medic who was at Omaha Beach on D-Day. His favorite fighter was the P-51.

Oopps! An extra "A"!

He did a decent job. I'm a writer and have managed to make a marginal living at it.

My father, Lt. William C. Lott. He was a navagator with the 854th Sqn (B-24) of the 491st Bombardment Group (H) The "Ringmasters". He was awarded the Distinguished flying cross in WWII & he also served in the Korean War, retiring in 1963.

hey, sarge, just noticed the thread.

Add a "J. Byron Starr", if you don't mind. Fighter pilot would be nice, but I'm not picky. Any old rank will do; 2nd lt, I guess.

Also, I knew a Frederick Davis Jr. who flew in the 56th FG (I think that was the unit) in Korea. He was one of America's first black jet fighter pilots after integration; he was also the only black man in his unit at the time. He died last year; I figure he'd be tickled to be added one war early if there's room in his old unit. If not, maybe add him to the Tuskegee units. He may haunt us for that, though. He was rather proud of his unit.

Suggested filler name to honor a friend:

Joseph Orsini, 1st LT USAAF, P-47 pilot (unit your choice)

My friend's real name is Jessica but they didn't have women in the AF back then! :) In real life she was in the Air Force and served in Desert Storm. I'd like to honor her in the game.

Suggestion:

William A. Audeh, RAF, rank your choice but an officer please, Spitfire pilot somewhere in the Mediterranean.

My uncle, grew up in Palestine and Libya during World War II. His favorite aircraft was the Spitfire.
