So I task SG with orders to get some new flooring in the dining room and living room.

SG: I hired an interior decorator for the dining room

FAM: Interior decorator? <rising voice showing alarm>

SG: Yes, she's a friend.

FAM: Where did you meet her?

SG: <no answer>

FAM: Oh, Tapas, right? <it's one of those places you go to get beer and food>

SG: Yes, but she's nice. She said she wouldn't charge us.

FAM: <electrical shock runs through body>

Later on the surprisingly attractive "interior decorator" shows up in a high maintenance get-up with knee-high leather boots and a $90,000 Mercedes coupe. That alone makes me nervous.

I don't want to think about the sexual deviances that people with large Christmas decorations are compensating for. Inflatable snowmen and Santas are frightening enough, but I would be checking the list of registered sex offenders if my neighbor erected an unusually large creche, especially if it had lifelike animals.

There is also the possibility of demonstrating revolt against progressives [8D]

My practice makes it much easier to compensate for these events .. I just pull a couple of more shifts ... I assume this requires a few more office visits .. [8D]

Sultan: <a large explosion lights up the harbor> OHHHHHHH! SPLENDID! <begins clapping as does the court, many of who are in their PJ's>

Minister, where is my oil minister?

Swarthy, unctious fellow with gay-looking beard, well, you know, trimmed too carefully: Yes, your Majesty?

Sultan: Oh, I just wanted to make sure we got paid first, right?

Sum Ting Wong.....I can't do "bold" or "color" or "italics" and the wrap-around function is borked.

I knew I shouldn't have logged onto Healthcare.gov yesterday.

Where was Brunei going to spend the Southern Development Bank Notes they got from the Japanese? The residents of the Philippines referred to them as Mickey Mouse Money.

Quite.

Actually, the boards are having problems. There is a wandering Moose around here also having issues. It might be time to Chrome up your PC.

Or go back to blaming the nefarious liberal left. Whichever is easier [:D]

I am testing a post from Chrome right now and yes Chrome works as expected. I am thinking that the latest version of IE 11 -- that was forced upgraded by the way ...[8|] it what is responsible for the Cap's observed posting behavior .... It might be time for the Cap to Chrome up as you say ...[8D]

We might have to conclude that the Sultan might not be the sharpest tool in the shed.

Here is what they looked like for Malaya, North Borneo, Sarawak and Brunei (they were called "banana notes" [:D]). Even worse for the Sultan, they aren't of value even as toilet paper. [:D]

Good thing he had his pay as an Honorary Colonel of the Brunei Volunteer Force so he could afford some decent toilet paper. Sitting on a throne with a chafed rear end is probably not very pleasant.
