Wot, no turns?

Sorry mate, the weekend sort of buggered up my plans in that area. I spent most of yesterday either asleep or making trips into work to the the WO. I might be able to sort something today, but if not it'll be after I get back from Lincoln on Tuesday.

Mixed news from work, still no idea whether I'm getting my time extended.  My original plan of getting a move doesn't look likely either.  [:(]  OTOH wheels are in motion and questions are being asked.  Or I can take the easy route and go to see the padre for a cup of tea and some biscuits and a chat [:D]

still dark. (we had a minor snow storm last nite and people are panicking)

But on the bright side....i havn't had to go pick up my mother from jail or bail out a cousin.

On better news....i know have my dual O/S installation up and running and have AE and all the Steel Panthers games restored. Bombing the Reich and WitE install files remain on a flash drive, ready to be installed. I think i have the codes for them on another backup flash drive.

I'm currently preparing myself for unemployment. Its not easy. I have only ever been so for three weeks in my entire adult lifespan and of course, given the times....i'm very nervous. Two years of unsuccess at finding even a mediocre IT job hasn't boosted my confidence.

Sorry to harp on this but I really think you need to be looking here in the RTP area. I see jobs in the paper every day that you would at least have a shot at...and that's just the paper. Monster.com or trianglejobs.com have a lot more listings.

no need to be sorry. It's good information to know. I think though that i will spend at least the first days of my new era of "time on my hands" with my bud in Houston and his family.....if nothing else it will help me clear my head....not to mention ingest some Jack Daniels.

Its by no means certain that i will set up camp there permenently. If nothing else....i figure its along the way to the east coast and i've never been to the deep south before. ROAD TRIP!
