MWIF does not have WiF Classic ships. You must play with Ships In Flames.

The reason you have missed her is because she is added to the CW force pool 1943.

I took the liberty to copy warspite1 writeup for Neptune.
4637 Neptune II - by Robert Jenkins]
.B Engine(s) output: 108,000 hp
.B Top Speed: 32.25 knots
.B Main armament: 12 x 6-inch (152mm), 12 x 4.5-inch (114mm) guns
.B Displacement (full load): 18,700 tons
.B Thickest armour: 4-inches (belt)
.P A number of cruiser designs were put forward during the war, in addition
to those actually built for the Royal Navy. Two of these, an 8-inch and a 6-inch
gun design were the most likely to be converted into the finished product, but
in the end, neither were. World in Flames allows the Commonwealth player the
chance to build five ships of the 6-inch design.
.P These 6-inch cruisers were to have resembled the Group III Town-class ships
in appearance as they were fundamentally an improved Belfast design with a
stronger anti-aircraft capability.
.P This class was to be known as the Neptune-class, a light cruiser of the same
name having been lost in 1941 (see HMS Neptune). Originally five ships were to
be ordered, although none ever were. When HMS Bellepheron, a Tiger-class cruiser
was cancelled, she was to have been a sixth Neptune-class ship but she too was
never ordered. Note: World in Flames has Bellerophon depicted as a Tiger-class
cruiser, hence only five the six projected Neptune`s can be built.

Tut tut Caquineur, you`ve missed one [;)]
Prinz Eugen ==> A German CA and an Italian CL (Prince Eugenio Di Savoia)

Grazie and Danke Sehr !
I didn't know that, I thought it was just a coincidence.
I found that comment on wikipedia "It is ironic that both Eugenio di Savoia and her Kriegsmarine namesake Prinz Eugen honour a General who was such a staunch ally of the British in an earlier era."
Maybe German and Italian sailors share also a sense of humour ? [:D]

Ahh but Prince Eugene mostly fought against the Turks and the French. In the latter role the ships named after him make sense.

Which was the only German auxiliary cruiser sunk by the Americans?
Warspite1

Looks like thats a nil return - please see Unit descriptions post # 1364 for the answer.
Warspite1

Sorry that answer was wrong. The auxiliary cruiser Stier was also sunk by an American Ship - the Liberty ship Stephen Hopkins.

No more WWII quiz ?

The second world war? Did the germans attack Poland on september first? Or it's a trick question.

1. What major power was the only one to have a spy in Japan? (I believe)

2. What allied unit was the first to enter Rome?

Why do I ask those, with all the living encyclopedias there, they will answer in 30 seconds.

Lucy? It's not the name I have, but yes it's Soviet Union, and the spy did play a very important role, his name was Sorge. He did warn Stalin of the incoming Barbarossa, but Stalin did not listen, and also warned that Japan would not attack in Siberia, allowing Zhukov to free the siberians divisions for the western theater. He was declared a hero of the Soviet Union in 1964.

This is slightly pre-WWII, hope that's allowed.

What's the name of the depicted aircraft and what's so special about its companion navy ship?

Of course - Richard Sorge. I`ve just looked up The Lucy Spy Ring and that was based in Switzerland not Japan...close [:D]

The Treaty of Versailles?

edit: methinks not, since Britain and France didn't declare war until the 2nd.

edit again: errr, until the 3rd I believe. I really thought I typed that a couple hours ago. And Hitler tore it up in 1936 anyway.
