There is one miserable raid over Naha. They are ready for us with hotshot Tojo jockeys.

The B-24's, which would have prevailed, sit at Aparri. June 20 is another union holiday.
Turns out it's St. Adalbert of Magdeburg Day. He was the Apostle of the Slavs.

Rook rike we have to send North Carolina back in tonight to bombard Naha. That means one-ah ress BB on station for randing.
I hope burrdozer drivers at Naha run out-ah amphetamines soon.

Operation Acapulco Gold: Remember how the naysayers predicted the plan wouldn't work right? Well, it was absolutely prescient!

The transports I think got into a recursive "follow task force" cruster **** and drove around in circles for half a day. They are still 40 mi SE of Batan Is.

D-Day will slip a day. Both Naha and Daito Shoto airfields are now fully operational again. I think the Japan-mens high command spiked the Kool-aide because Japan-mens engineers working
rike fricking Oriental beavers. Seems like a week ago every building on Okinawa was on fire.

North Carolina can't safely reach Naha tonight so that will be shelved for the next night.

I think perhaps the bombers at Aparri won't attack Naha because of the Tojos so we sweep the place with P-47's and Corsairs today.

Operation Sticky Green

Shemya up to level 4.3. The field should be level 5 by the time of the attack. That will allow a few days of heavy bomber raids on PJ when the operation starts.

AP's still haven't arrived in Seattle so still a few more days till loading starts.

B-25's and one squadron of P-47's and some P-38's ready to reinforce if we capture a base.

ALSP is prepping for a landing at Moulmein. Looks to be 11th (East African) Div and the veteran 5th Indian Div. East Africa Div is nearing Diego Garcia but their morale is in the crapper.

They will probably need to disembark and rest.

JJ have switched the port at which they unload TK's from Borneo and Palembang.

First it was HK, then Saigon...now Cam Ranh Bay. The path to HK is too dangerous now. They switched from Saigon when we parked subs in the shallow water and they spotted them.
Last turn we sank a a big 32 pt TK near Cam Ranh Bay.

Well, look at it this way. Inside of 1 week they have Christmas Eve, Christmas, Boxing Day (which I take it somehow involves Premier League matches and drinking), then New Years Eve and New Year Day.

That is a good way to get tennis elbow if you don't stay in shape.

Oh, yeah...and it rains all the time.
