That'll be it... as I am a Kiwi, and wool does funny things in our heads.

And you aren't right in the head to begin with.

You're onto it mate! [:D]

Viking Dude: Did you catch the Disney Christmas shows this year?

ETA: How does "Kalle Anka och hans vänner önskar God Jul" translate literally and otherwise?

Image

1/ Yes.

2/ "Donald Duck and his friends wishes you Merry Christmas". Good translation. Not sure what you're after?

Hello you lot. Hope your Christmases were enjoyable. We're back from 9 days in the hill country of Texas, just north of San Antonio. Nice country. Lovely weather, good food, family and no work. Lovely.

In Fredricksburg, TX is the "War in the Pacific Museum". I kid you not. I was incredulous at first, but spent some time there on Saturday. I'll post some pictures. An excellent museum, just outstanding. [&o] Probably the best 'treatment' of the PTO as an organic whole I've seen anywhere. For anyone that fancies themselves a WWII PTO grog, this is simply a 'must see'.
Did you check out the midget sub?...in the Texas hill country of all places?...lol

Good to see you again Rogue! It's been a while! Don't be a stranger! [:)]

Evening tithe...

Happy new year to all you guys, and your families.

Skyped with Chickenboy this morning, and he is a fine looking young chap. Seems almost a shame that he is my JFB opponent, and I'm going to rip his ego apart, when I crush his empire into the dust.

Go get him Des! [&o] He's kicking my backside in our PBEM! [:D]

It's not THAT someone calls you. It WHAT someone calls you! [:D]

Why thank you, kind sir. I suspect it was the Merino wool sweater I was wearing. What with your inherent attraction to all things wool and sheep, I can see why you felt this way.

That'll be it... as I am a Kiwi, and wool does funny things in our heads.

Des, I've got to say , that is one manevolent looking bird you chose for your new avatar! It certainly makes ME want to run and hide![:D] Let's hope it does the same to CB! [:D]

Good afternoon friends.

Gearing up for the first of many small "welcome to my new place" parties.

This evening it will be all you can eat/drink pizzas/beers and a lot of friendly gaming. [:)]

You guys realize that the reason the museum is in Fredericksburg, Texas is that town was Chester Nimitz' hometown?

BTW: Happy New Year, everybody!

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Apollo11
ORIGINAL: jeffk3510

Christmas at the inlaws who still have a daughter, son in law, and four grandkids living at home. Yaaaaay.

That means you and your wife? [8D]

Please note that in Europe (especially Mediterranean Europe: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece etc.) it is quite common for families to stay together for good (i.e. several generations under one roof)!

In my country this is also the case - we usually own the places we live in (i.e. there are very very few that rent apartments - that is very expensive and not worth it in the long run) so families tend to stay together. About 10 years ago there was a trend that new young families try to go away from parents and buy new apartments with cheap credits / mortgages but this turned out to be very very bad decision because of market crash and crisis after 2007... lots and lots of brand new unsold apartments and houses that are empty and inhabited...

Leo "Apollo11"

One would think that basic economics would reduce the price of these empty residences...

Brad
