Later on dumbass when I get home tonight.
It includes the tracking of 18 submarines over the past 6 months along with an update of the number of ships sunk by subs etc. Conclusively proves submarines do gain experience.

unfortunatly, you are the dumbass here[;)]. I've said that i belive that YOUR (allied) subs gains exp... but i didn't saw that MY (Japanese) subs get any exp point even after sinking the enemy ship.....[:'(]
Sadly, i can not back my claims with statistics because Japs subs in 1944 are only good for sitting down in the ports[;)]

RE: 31st August 1944
Why would only Allied submarines gain experience? JFBCTMD (Japanese FanBoy Conspiracy Theory Moron Dumbass)...[8|]

RE: 31st August 1944
I don't know...you tell me... i can only say what i've experienced: my subs didn't get experience even after they sink enemy ship.... that is all i wanted to say, you SFBM (Spam Fanboi Moron)[8|]

RE: 31st August 1944
And I say, CNW (Croat NitWit), that you can't make such claims without proper analysis to back them up...
We are all dreams of the Giant Space Butterfly.
RE: 31st August 1944
I did it IDS (Infamous Danish SPAMer) in the past - but you will understand that i don't have a time to dig in all over the forum or in my 49 page long AAR[:'(] to found data just because you dont trust what i've said....
I have other things to do....

RE: 31st August 1944
I'm not saying I don't trust you, BBH (Balkan BoneHead); I'm saying that it doesn't make any sense for only one side's subs to gain experience.
We are all dreams of the Giant Space Butterfly.

End of August............
Hi all,
Points:
Japanese: + 1073
Allied: + 2792
Bases:
Japanese: - 1 (+100 points)
Allied: + 1 (-46 points)
Planes:
Allies lost: 668
Japanese lost: 689
Troops:
Allies lost: 60 points
Japanese lost: 317 points
Ships:
Allies lost: 31 ships - 244 points - 5 submarines here. The rest are AK/TK/MSW/DE from the Singkawang convoy
Japanese lost: 50 ships - 265 points - Mainly by LBA from Pontianak, against shipping at Amboina and by submarines which sank 24 ships this month.
Strategic points: 2692 (+1552)
-------------------------
Thoughts:
Overall not a great month in terms of progress but a month whereby Burma is stagnant (awaiting the last 2 divisional reinforcements), slow progress at Singkawang and the movement of forces from the WC towards Iwo Jima.
Air losses are roughly even due to the fact i'm losing 10-20 planes a day due to ops. Not surprising since i'm bombing the snot out of many bases.
B29's are starting to make their presence felt in Japan.
Submarines are finding it harder now with the reduced action areas creating a funnel for air and sea ASW. Talking of submarines.................

Submarine statistics
Thanks guys
Well guys here it is. An update of the submarine war against the Japanese Empire.
The breakdown of kills:
Dutch:
ML - 1
AK - 4
TK - 3
---------------
British:
DD - 1
MSW - 2
ML - 3
AO - 3
TK - 7
AK - 13
AP - 4
MLE - 2
PC - 1
-----------------
S-Boats:
ML - 1
PC - 2
TK - 2
AK - 8
AP - 4
------------------
Fleets Boats:
CVL - 1
AS - 2
DD - 2
APD - 1
MSW - 19
PG - 11
ML - 12
PC - 23
AK - 171
AP - 87
AO - 9
TK - 78
------------------
Totals:
CVL - 1
AS - 2
DD - 3
APD - 1
MSW - 21
PG - 11
ML - 17
PC - 26
MLE - 2
AK - 196
AP - 95
AO - 12
TK - 90
= 477 ships.
--------------------------
Submarine losses and to what cause:
Torpedo - 2
Bomb - 9
DC - 39
--------------------------
Statistics:
Kills per sub lost - 9.35 (April 1944 - 14.28)
TK's sunk per sub lost - 2 (April 1944 - 3.31)
This clearly shows that compared to the start of April the Submarine war has been harder with fewer ships sunk per sub lost. I'm, still very happy with the submarine war in general and the number of TK's he's lost must be affecting him.
The stats do confirm my view though that once Borneo and Iwo Jima have been captured it is not worth using many subs since losses due to massive air and sea ASW will outweigh any ships being sunk.

Submarine Experience
Hi all,
As some of you may know i've been tracking the experience of 18 submarines from the beginning of March 1944 to the beginning of September 1944 = 6 months of warfare.
The results ahow as I expected in that if the submarine stays alive most will hit something and gain experience. The list below shows the submarine name, the experience of 03/44, 09/44 and the current location.
SS Grenadier - 69/71 - 71/73 - at Saipan maintenance.
SS Bonefish - 74/74 - sunk by LBA off Luzon.
SS Manta - 60/60 - 65/60 - On patrol.
SS Guitarro - 73/73 - 74/75 - Repairing damage at Darwin.
SS Sterlet - 70/70 - 71/70 - Sunk by ASW craft in South China Sea.
SS Pipefish - 62/62 Sunk by ASW craft north of Luzon.
SS Tilefish - 63/63 - 63/64 - Repairing at Darwin.
SS Bream - 64/64 - Sunk by ASW craft NW of Bonin's.
SS Flasher - 79/79 - 79/79 - at Saipan maintenance.
SS Piranha - 69/69 - sunk by Lilly's near Indochina (the shame).
SS Pomfret - 68/68 - sunk by ASW craft south of China.
SS Growler - 69/70 - 69/71 - at Darwin maintenance.
SS Runner - 70/69 - 70/69 - On Patrol.
SS Rasher - 81/81 - sank by ASW craft south of Shanghai.
SS Grunion - 67/64 - sank by ASW craft in South China Sea.
SS Skipjack - 74/74 - 75/74 - On patrol.
SS Cero - 67/66 - 67/66 - On patrol
SS Barbel - 70/70 - 72/70 - on patrol.
= Of the Fleet boats still afloat 2/3 of them have increased in experience over the past 6 months.
Regards,
Steven

Speedy proves that subs gain experience, even if it´s only minimal! [:D] Now the question: Does this minimal increase of exp really affect the sub effectiveness? I don´t think so. One or two points more exp isn´t great. Working torps and radar is the main reason why US subs are killers compared to what they are early on.
Thanks for the effort of tracking all those subs. Very interesting is also your sunk list! [&o]
