G'mornin everyone! I am going with the Greeks on this - the number 13 was lucky in their culture. And bakers make it lucky too! Happy Friday! 8-)

Well, my Hurricanes couldn't get the job done in Boston last night so tomorrow is Game 7 against the Bruins. Winner advances, loser goes golfing.

The Thread doesn't need a meaning. Just a place for average old folks with moderate mental health issues to hang out. Mike might say otherwise ...GP

It's been a long time since anyone accused me of having only moderate mental health issues.

Zeckke, THE THREAD!!! is our home on the internet, away from all of the angst and drama that the rest of the world is full of. All who don't take themselves too seriously are most welcome here. 8-)

My Carolina Hurricanes have vanquished the Boston Bruins and advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. they await the winner of tomorrow's Penguins vs. Rangers game. I won't be watching, as I'll be spending the day at the NC Transportation Museum with my model railroad club, playing with trains. :D

No real meaning. And what the guys said.

The background of THE THREAD!!! is just that it is the continuation of a thread that refused to fall into oblivion. A wrong post, I believe, was the first post. And then it just kept on going. Through several iterations of THE THREAD!!!, and it has been going on for ages. I am not sure, but I think it began before I joined the forum.
