Burma

I have been trying to break thru in the Bhamo area. That's not happening I will do it soon though. Koniu has stacked troops in just about every hex from Bhamo down to Prome. Several of these have IDs with tank rgts and art units. Some more than that. So he is probably pretty thin right now. Not for sure of that but I can hope. I don't know if he has troops between Prome and Rangoon. There's a small force at Bassien. The hex between Ramree and Prome has almost 22k of troops 200 guns and 340 AFVs.

If I can kick him out of this hex, he might have to move some troops out from other important area. I am going to look at doing this once I get some units into place. I am also looking at crossing the river at either Prome or the hex above it. Prome has 27500 men 400 guns and 600 AFVs. The hex north of it has 20 troops 250 guns and 500 AFVs. I'm not sure yet. But I know I have to cross the river at some point.

Solomon's
Lae is ours. I need to get support troops up there. Engs are need to repair the base. I also want to expand the LV 9 possible AF to the north of it. Units prepping is coming along nicely now. I will keep advancing in this area. Need to get these 2 bases built up first.

Bombed and Koniu trying to clear out my stranded units in the north.

Burma
Crevalle finishes off the CL. We also hit Bangkok and start almost 5k fires.

Solomons
Jap LCUs destroyed at Lae. Sub was spotted yesterday off the coast of Oz. I sent in 4 DEs they found it today and put 10 hits with 2 being penetrating ones. I sent in some B25D1's in at 100ft during the night phase. They did good. 19 planes are reported as destroyed. We lose 2 on the mission. I'll take that.

We bomb Bhamo for no results. We also strike Taung Gyi's AF at night. We destroy 6 fighters on the ground for 4 ops of B25D1. I am ordering my armor to attack Bhamo again. Maybe they can soften them up some more. Ramree's AF is no Lv 2, so I moved in a few fighters. Lets see what Koniu does.

Solomons
Lae's AF is operational but the base is still 100% damaged. Maybe tomorrow or the next day I can move in fighters. I have some engs on LSTs waiting to offload tonight.

Lae see over 160 Georges and Franks sweep, they find nothing. Lae's AF went from 27 damage to 0 while the Base went from 100 to 45% damage. I expect more sweeps. I put in about 150 AC some of my best pilots and planes. Lets see what happens. I am using my APAs and such to drop off some secondary troops. I need to get some AV support in also.

Got to go eat.

We get a 1 to 2 attack at Bhamo. I am ordering tanks and infantry to attack tomorrow. I am also ordering an AF attack at Chaing Mai. Recon shows bombers and recon planes with no fighters. I try Hurri IIds on a night AF bombing mission to see how fighters would do not promising but they don't carry bombs either and they are met by Tojos.

Solomons
No sweep at Lae today. Heavy cloud cover over Rabual today. The amphib TF that I hit yesterday was withdrawing troops. We hit Rabual's AF at night with 4Es no damage to the AF but shoot down 8 Zeros for no loses. The Zeros had to climb to get to the bombers and they chewed them up.

Attack Bhamo got a 1 to 1 but still don't take the base. I am going to attack Bhamo and Lashio this turn.

Ambon
We bomb the AF on the 9th and lose 8 4Es to fighters.

Solomons
Koniu sends a raiding part to Goodenough Island to attack a TF which leaves in the nick of time. His SAG stays thru the daylight turn and is attack by my A20s. A CL takes 6 500lb bombs its last seen with heavy fires and heavy damage, a DD is hit with a 500lb bomb and last seen on fire. All ships take 50cal hits. I am sending out a CL SAG to try and finish them all off. By my count I have 11 cruisers sunk 4 of them are CAs. I hope to finish off this CL in the night phase. Koniu sends out some E's as a CAP trap to the north of New Britian. We didn't fall for it. I am going to try and send a few Fletchers after them.

Midway
Jap sub takes 10 hits and is left with heavy damage.

I hope Joc. But I want that CL to hang around long enough to slow down the 2 DDs with it so my SAG can take themout. I bet Koniu will send his BBs out to act as a covering force.

We attack at Bhamo and Lashio. Nothing impressive.

Solomons
Jap CL sinks and we can't catch the other Jap ships.

Looking at the Intel tab. The number of Jap ships sunk jumped up 8 ships and 100 points this is without the CL added to it. Hmmm I haven't seen new ships added either by the sunk ship screen or the intel report. If its true I'll take it.

We capture Bhamo. The 2 Jap units retreat away from the road and into the jungle. Now my units can move down the road to Lashio. Some of the units need some RR. Units at Lashio are retreating also. I am trying to cut off their retreat path but doubt that I will get there in time. The Jap IR at Paoshan will get cut off.

Nothing else really happened this turn.
