I think this is a good rule brian. i'd also be ok to play without divisions.ORIGINAL: brian brian
Wait until 1944 when every hex has 3 units in it and all sides just want the unit density to go down. Some folks want divisions for the specialty flavor they allow in operations, but want a lower counter density. So they play 2d10 with ‘first loss must be a corps’.

Axis rolls a 3 and doesn't find the Allies. However, Allies roll 4 and find the Axis force. CW has one surprise point.

Axis select a naval air combat.
How will CW arrange their air? Will the CVP fly as a fighter? And if it flies as a bomber which plane will then be front bomber?

If I fly as bomber, do I lose one point from A2A factors?
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Did Italian ships return to base from East or West Med?

West Med. I corrected the post.ORIGINAL: Mayhemizer_slith

So there are no Italian shipping in the sea area. only the neutral Vichy, so the box with the Axis air had to be picked.

Yes, the rule specifically state FTR. And a CVP is not a FTR. So same A2A value as both a bomber or fighter.ORIGINAL: Orm

I believe AA fires and result is only aborts. Place them any way you like and abort all CW units to Gibraltar.

The Allied AA fire reduce the bomber strength with one (worst die out of 6). (1, 7, 7, 5, 10, 3)

The CW force aborts to Gibraltar.
No strategic bombing.
Germany bombard, and ground strike, the Soviet defenders south-west of Vitebsk.

The abysmal success rate for the Axis air force, with ground strikes, continues. The FTR3 hit no targets. Fortunately the German artillery remedy the situation somewhat and disorganize two defenders.
