Kids did well, all things considered.

While I was in college my mom's doctor prescribed ice skating as a therapy for her rheumatoid arthritis to help prevent her knees from calcifying (unfortunately it was too late - her previous doctor had told her "if it hurts, don't do it" which had started her joints well onto the road of calcification). I came home for Thanksgiving and she asked if I wanted to go skating with her so I went along.

I was cruising around the rink smoothly while she was carefully hugging the guardrail along the edge when she asked me "since when have you been ice skating?".

"Never, mom. This is my first time."

"I hate you!" (Of course, she really didn't, but her jealousy of the ease with which I took to it was apparent!)

Evening Tithe... Been playing some Gran Turismo 5 on the Playstation. This controller thingy is taking some getting used to, but at least I found and off'ed the vibration function. No idea what the rationale behind this very annoying "feature" was...[:@]

In case anybody doubted the scumminess of Facebook, there's now a page there with the theme of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami being payback for Pearl Harbor.

When I saw the headline, I thought Pat Robertson had been at it again.
