Planned raid on Christmas Island using CV's Hornet and Enterprise.

GH has been running in convoys to CI, convoys which the SS Halibut has taken great pleasure in taking bites out of [:D]

CI represents the westernmost point of his empire and will probably be the first point i attack in future. As such i am going to probe his defences with a carrier raid on CI. The endevaour will probably take about a week and will leave PH as soon as the replenishment tankers fill their hulls. Here is the original plans and updates will be posted as the days pass by.

Before people start throwing tantrums and throwing their toys out of the pram, GH has not been gamey nor did i suggest he was being gamey. He did not drop the paras, they must have been the ones roaming in the jungle from the last attack on Lashio. Furthermore if he had dropped them there it would have been acceptable in my HR's for the reasons stated above. so if anyone dares call GH's sense of fairness into question they can frankly foff an do one as he has done nothing, i repeat nothing to suggest he is anything other than an honourable opponent.

For the record, Alfred i dnt think you were accusing GH of anything untowards but i know other people have (none who have posted though) might just from reading here.

Thanks

cantona2,

As you think Christmas Island is a worthwhile target for a raid (presumably on grounds of risk:rewards assessment), have you considered enlarging the raid to:

(a)  include a bombardment TF to give you intel on the size of the garrison,

(b)  have an invasion TF hovering nearby for a quick invasion if the garrison is small and you retain surprise.
