Thanks Floyd! I am close.....the program now initializes, but I get an error message:

"The save file is for turn 6, and later turns are already loaded"

I haven't loaded anything of course, what is it trying to read? I went over the properties settings, and I am pretty sure those are correct

QBall, when you mean initialise you mean you get to see Tracker screens? When the program initialises, it does load the first turn you have linked to in your properties file...

I'd delete all the trackerdb*. files and start again, it sounds like you got a partial load to start with...

OR

maybe it is initialised, but then are you trying to load a new turn, and it is from the same turn ...

Out to work now, but I'll be back later to add my hand if you need.

Q-ball: this message comes when you use the "Read Turn" function, so you must have done something...
When the program starts up for the first time, it loads an initial turn. Maybe you're trying to load the same turn?

That is correct, it happens during "Read Turn". I has a turn loaded though from a game I was playing against the AI; I have deleted this game, and never loaded it into Tracker?[&:]

Do I need to re-install Tracker? Maybe that will erase the data.

Delete the trackerdb.xxx files. There should be four different ones.
Check the witptracker.properties file to be sure the proper save file slot is being used and that the SaveMode is how you want it.
Re-run the witptracker.bat file.
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Remember to also Import the Region file (Nomads seems to be a good one to use - so thanks to him), this will give you a better understanding of the macro issues. Instructions on the web site.

Thanks very much Damian for the terrific tool you have developped. It has worked immediatly once patch 1 has been released.
Without it, management of the japanese economy and more specifically the aircraft industry is a nightmare.
I have this morning using WITPTracker spend one hour to adjust the engine production in relationship with the need of the aircraft production.
Concerning the region file is there one already developped by a player available on the site ?

Micke II,
thanks for the high praise, if you have version 1.0.1, the file is in the region-mappings folder. So when you use file->Import base Region Definitions, go into the region-mappings folder and use either the regionfile_full, which was my quick attempt or Nomads Nomad_Region_File_4, which seems to be much better and more detailed, but has Japan broken into regions as well.

Instructions are on the Tracker web site.

On that note, another request. Would it be possible to have Regions and Sub-Regions? I like the islands of Japan broken down sometimes and other times I would like to have a region that is a composite of the islands. One of those requests for a few weeks or months from now.

Might already be in the pipeline but LCU need an extra column for the Ops mode they are in.

The plan is to make an initial release supporting AE with the classic WitPTracker base. Then the next pass is to enhance with AE-specific stuff. The first release did include some of the latter, as it was deemed critical (especially in the area of production).

But your request is certainly on the list.

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Interesting idea. Decent amount of code surgery required...

Have you managed to find out why all my units are showing as receiving replacements ?

Edit : There are probably some bugs when units upgrade from one type of device to the next. In my game the 14th RAAF BF upgraded from CMF Militia to CMF Infantry, yet the unit is still listed in the 'pool history' of the militia and not listed in that of the infantry.
In India, the 48td Ghurka traded in its 18-pounders for 25-pounders, but the units isn't listed in the pool history of either device. They may still be counted in the total active number for the upgraded device, as I am finding that the number of all units listed in the pool history is often less then the total active number given.

Ok thanks

Edit to avoid double posting.

Thanks, fix seemed to work, as far as I can tell all units are now correctly displaying whether they are accepting replacements or not.

This is most probably a memory issue (at least that was 100% of the cases I had with this error). You need to be sure the JVM is getting enough memory. Are you running the .bat file or running the .jar directly? If you look at the .bat file, you need to be sure the heap size is at least what I have in there.

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Finally got around to installing the AE version.  Got 1.0.1 installed and setup with no problems, after updating both Java and C++ fixpack.

Sure does start up a lot faster with only the Guad scenario's worth of data, compated to the CHS Campaign.  [:)]

Thanks, as always, guys.  I'll look forward to pointing out bugs for you.  [;)]
