[holds hand in air]Aye.

I'll agree one one condition. We don't install hotfixes either. That's what got you and me into our problem on our game. You had the hot fix, and I couldn't get it to install. Then I patched (those I have no trouble with) and you didn't. Result? What appears to be the long assumed extinct sync bug. It's still out there guys![:D]

Indeed, we won't install any upgrades until we all agree, and then do it in the "proper" manner. We can review that process when the time comes.

So says our resident "techie". [:D] You do house calls? [&:][:D]

Geez oh pete, guys.  I just saw this AAR and got all excited.  I had some time and figured I could get pretty far into the 6 pages.  It hasn't even started yet! [X(] Let's get going guys! [:D]
Mike,

I can't even begin to tell you how glad I am that you're back around the forum. May we call upon you to ask some mundane production problem, oh guru of production that is IJ? [&o]

Well, you will have to take some liberties with "The Captain and the kid" , as I'm not a captain (I no longer own a boat , and I was a E-6, not a O-6), and you (Only about ten years younger than me) are hardly a kid. Punk, yes. Kid no. [:D]

"Take it back" will work later , but not initally. "Let's get get drunk , we're screwed" works well early but not later. "He's a Frenchman for the night" only works while we're losing. (Sorry Gladdit! [8|]). Others versions of his songs , "On a slow boat FROM China","Trying to make it to One particular harbor--before I sink", "A pirate looks forward to 43 (Cause 1942 SUXS), "When the coast is clear"--no changes needed for that one, "Chicken burger in paradise",and on and on. The man has a million of them.

So I guess Geezer and the Kid works. PUNK![:D]

It's not quite the end of the day, but it's 1400 on Friday and no reply from the PM I sent inquiring about the Database patch.  Shall we officially allow the Japanese team to start a game and begin the orders phase?  I'm in favor.

Steve,

I'm not exactly sure that we had the sync bug per se, but I do think that somehow someway our alternate schedules for updating borked us good.

I concur with both your and Mike's conditions: no hotfixes, no patches no nada until we're all in agreement about how to get it done as a team.

Hey, Geek Squad (Best Buy) still makes house calls, so the premise is still sound. You've heard of Best Buy, haven't you Steve? It's that place where those punk kids go to buy all that newfangled high-falutin' computer crap. I don't think they sell abacuses. [:'(]

Don't need an abacuse. Mine works just fine. I keep it next to my computer with a sign saying "Emergency calculator backup". [:D](Actually , I really do). Yes I'm very familiar with Geek squad. I've got a pile of their bills from days past. Unusally telling me something like "It's dead Steve.Buy another". [:D]

I don't want to know about allied production. I know all I need to about that. What I want is expert advice on how to screw up your production! [:D]

Not when it's caused by two different versions of the game .exe. To get over those problems, you would likely have to go back to just before one of you upgraded.

My game is patched to the 1106beta patch. Since I'll be the one creating the game, it would be beneficial to know if that's where everyone else is (or will be) at. Otherwise, I'll have to snarf some interim patches from somewhere as I do not have them.

Mike, check out the first post in this BAR.  The settings, including patch level are all listed there.  It should be the current "official" patch that you can get from the downloads section.  (I think only the letter on the end is different from the beta of 1106)
