And, if by the 7/15 deadline he does not respond then make an effort to READ this thread and find others like yourselves that are stranded. Then take the initiative and start a game.

Those of you with ???'s by your names could you let me know what countries you are playing Please!

Red,

BJZuels is going to play the Germans this round instead of GB. Looks like it is going to be the Loyalists vs the Seperatists.

rbrunsman (France) vs Curieus (Belgium)
Our starting positions are a little bit more apart (even though he starts closer to the Vic hexes ;) )

better make that
rbrunsman (Nationalist Spain) vs Curieus (The Netherlands)

The belgians decided in 1830 that they were not part of The Netherlands. That's what you get for freeing them from habsburg and french oppression

But the superior  dutch army will prevail. We will run so hard that the spanish cannot but miss :D
I mean probably even Very Green german troops have better morale and more experience......

Defaults and Double-Elimination

Post by Capt. Pixel »

Defaults -

Maybe we ought to invoke a maximum response time for defaults. For instance, if you haven't heard from your opponent in 72 hours, then your opponent defaults their game.

I say this, because many times real life interferes with game play. Occasionally, you never hear from the opponent again.

This has happened to me several times just in the last couple of months. I'd hate to see someone get left behind just because their opponent didn't pay their phone/internet bill. ;) And in these situations, it may be a LONG time before you hear from them again.

Double Elimination -

Everybody has a bad day now and then. Even M4 Jess :D

Maybe we could start a second ladder for those that lose their first game. Right away, we have a whole second series of contests. Whoever rises to the out of the 'Loser' group, gets a shot at the top dog of the original tourney.

That's a lot more work (I'm not volunteering) but it could become a real exciting contest and offer every participant more than one chance to prove his stuff.

(Besides, I don't wanna see Scharfschutze left behind after I stomp him :D )

Just pick a country....

Post by TimeTanker »

Hey 8 you are paired up already with Falschirmjager who is playing as Finland. So all you need to do is pick a country.

Finland is in Group B which is made up of minor countries. So pick someone like Hungary or something like that. And, I will fill in the slot.
