Another small ship that could scare away the IJN. For two days HDML P 12 has intercepted PB Nako Maru #2, xAK Ryuun Maru and xAK Sugiyama Maru from landing at Kalidjati at 50,99. The HDML is only armed with small caliber machine guns.

Bombardment TF catches a enemy TF unloading. Then conducts the bombardment, afterwards on the RTB the SCTF attacks a TF at Ambon.

Looking at your score for this date i would say you are doing well. Especially he has more ship loses than you do, buy 600 points.

Some maps of various areas for the new few post. Everybody loves maps. No boring text to read over.

First up is the Burma area. Rangoon still holds, only occasional air attacks. Japan has invested in Moulein

All basses on rail line from Dacca to Ledo has been expanded. Supplies being air lifted into China from Ledo

MLR will be mostly along the border and river hexes

New Caledonia area, building up most of the bases on the main island.

Also sending LCU and NZ Eng to build up Tanna. Am setting up airfields to eventually support invasion of Guadalcanal
if I choose to go that route.

First my thanks to whoever created Combat Reporter, makes it easier to organize my thoughts.

Second is thanks to all who take the time to read my AAR

Finally another map, with information around Fiji and the Samoan Island. These bases are my fuel depot and the basing of LCU for action into the Central Pacific

The land battle for Palemban has begun. IJ a/c have been bombing daily for over two weeks hitting the airfield mostly.

Uncertain how long Palemban will hold. All Dutch troops to the north of Palemban were ordered on 8 Dec 41 to fall back to Palemban. Not all have made the long road trip.

Fort Level is 2 with 49% built towards level 3, of course with daily bombing of the AF the forts will not go to 3.
Assault Strength is 208

RE: Scen026 BabesLite-A Me against Imperial AI Emperor

Post by Lawless1 »

A very eventful turn and next more eventful.

More amp lands at Palembang, also AM,PM air attacks

Several TF heading to the Canton area for operations. 1 SCTF to bombard Baker with a CV for air support, 2 SCTF to Canton for operations against raiders and one fast transport to land LCU on Sydney to start building it up.

Should I spit the fast TF and run in different directions for 1 turn at full speed or, leave them as one TF and still run

CVTF was following TF Cold Oven but will now break off and head southward to be four hexes to the east of Canton for air ops.

There is at least one IJ carrier in the spotted IJN TF. aircraft used in the air attacks account for 20 A6, 25 B5, 25 D3

I have a fast transport taking LCU to Sydney Island, which was attacked in two waves. 1st was 5 A6 and 5 B15 which was chewed up by LRCAP from Canton by P-40E, 2nd wave was 5 A6 and 10 B5, only 2 of the 5 LRCAP was able to defend TF. Both attacks were in the AM phase.

PM phase had 10 A6 and 17 D3 conducting airfield attack on Canton, which had 20 P-40E as cap.

How not to deal with a SCTF is letting your fast transport beat their SCTF into the hex.

1 CA, 1 CL 2 DD IJN against USN FTF with 1 CA, 2 DD, 1 AVD, 2 AV, 3 PG. AV Clarksville sunk 1 PG hevy damage

The correct way to deal with raiders:

Nice work against that raider TF near Midway! Did your CLs get close enough for penetrating hits on Haguro? If so, her chances are not great. Hope you can run them down again!

SITREP FOR Mar 15, 42

AS promise, a very exciting turn.

Tun begins with more landings at Palembang. The 75mm CD guns score multiple hits against severa ships, but it did not stop the landings.

PT boats at Midway did hit CL Kuma, Torpedo hits 1, on fire, for the lost of two PT boats. It did cause the TF to retreat from raiding Midway.

SCTF Cold Oven diverted from bombardment mission of Baker Island and sent to intercept incoming tasks forces heading for Canton. BB Maryland, BB Idaho, CL Helena, DD Hammann, DD Mahan, DD Drayton, DMS Dorsey, DMS Long fought several running battles and sunk or damaged several CL and DD.

Japanese Ships 1st battle
CL Natori, Shell hits 21, and is sunk
DD Oite, Shell hits 6, on fire

Japanese Ships 2nd battle
CL Tenryu, Shell hits 6, heavy fires, heavy damage
DD Hayate, Shell hits 5, heavy fires, heavy damage
DD Asanagi
DD Namikaze, Shell hits 1, and is sunk

Japanese Ships 3rd battle
CL Naka, Shell hits 6, heavy fires, heavy damage

Japanese Ships 4th battle
CL Tenryu, Shell hits 6, heavy fires, heavy damage
DD Hayate, Shell hits 1, and is sunk
DD Asanagi

Four sub TF patroling north of Baker Island had patrol area shifted towards Canton. S-27 put 3 torpedos into an xAK

There was a carrier battle of sorts, for whatever reason the AI split their CVTF one CV with 3 or 4 escortd and one CVL with also 3 or 4 escorts. Both carriers were sunk. Saw a message stating the Soryu, Zuiho and Tone air craft diverted to Baker Island. Heard sinking sounds for the carriers.

Air battles results will be in follow-up post on graphics
