Why did you rebase the air unit? It still had the range to hit all the front line enemy units. Since rebasing causes an effectiveness loss (and a pretty heavy one at that) I only do it when absolutely necessary.

Indeed, my idea was to be in good position later, i.e. in two turns, if I can achieve a breakthrough.

Looking for some additional background info relative to your May 10th turn as the axis relative to your unit mix and build since Sept 1939 .... Did you garrison (infantry) units between Poland and France ?

My rough count looking at the screenshots has the axis unit comparisons from Sept 39 to May 10 changing from

- Panzer units, 2 to 5
- Motorized units, 1(I think) to 3
- infantry units, ?
- pigboat units, ?
- Fighter units, ?
- other bomber units, ?
