Hi Russ.  It's good to hear from you.  I'll pass through your neck of the woods on my way to my neck of the woods around late June.  When you end up wherever it is you end up, let me know.  Maybe we can link up for a bit.

Take care.

Heh, I did in 1978. I got out and went to college. Then, like a fool, I joined the National Guard for "something different". [:D]

"Different" doesn't necessarilly mean good.On the other hand , there is something like 8,500 sailors on the ground over there, so joining the Navy isn't always the escape we think it is.

Hi, I was transfered again today. Back to HHC 1-148th. I find out tomorrow what my new job is. What really stinks is they made me turn Baboo X in. I guess I'll draw a new weapon. Oh well.[X(]

Hi Russ.  What's the next one?  Baboo XI?  Baboo Xa?  [:D]

Hang in there!  I know a lot of those guys over there.  They're a bunch of goofballs but they're good and they have you.

Do you have a laptop with WitP on it?

I need a beer

Post by mogami »

Hi, 5 more weeks till "Beer thirty" I get 4 days off starting 1500hrs 21 March.  I'm going to find the local VFW. (Gatesville or Killeen)  Training continues. Today after noon I go practice Call for Fire on simulator.
We escaped North Ft Hod yesturday and went to Wal-Mart (yippie) I spent $160 on movies and music (I bought all 9 Beethoven Symphonies for $10)
Boredom is a problem after hours around here. The weather changes every other day. (Cold, Rain, Warm, Rain, Cold,Warm)
39 days till the move over to theatre.
I'm learning to speak Iraqi. (I even understand a little of what is said now provided they speak slowly) I asked my sister to send me some 1st Grade books on writing Arabic.   If I get good enough I can do a year active duty after the deployment teaching soldiers the 15 basic required phrases.

Well my 30 minutes on the computer is over. See you all later.
