Declarations of War and Alignments:
Germany

The Germans align the Finns.

Germany: Land
Italy: Naval
Japan: Combined

Port Attack: None
Naval Air: None

Naval Movement:
Japan

The remnants of the Japanese fleet sail for the 3-box of the South China Sea (no interception for obvious reasons) Ditto the remaining units from Bangkok sail for the 0-box.

The Japanese decline to initiate. Do the Americans wish to?
Note there is a cruiser and 2 Conv in the 0-box, a battleship and 2 cruisers in the 4-box and the remainder are in the 3-box.

Yes please. Disorganise Nashville, thanks.

Were there any Italian naval moves?

Rail Movement: None
Land Movement:
Japan

The Japanese decide to mix it with Soviets in Manchuria

Germany

The Germans hold station in the north and move forward - well as far as they can - in the centre. In Romania they concentrate on Soviets that have entered southern Bessarabia. The Finns move to protect Petsamo.

Land Combat:
Germany

Four attacks are announced; one in Finland, two in Eastern Poland and one in Bessarabia

Japan

The Japanese make one attack east of Harbin

I do not have the aircraft spare so have to hope the fractionals work; German aircraft remain grounded and there is no HQ Support.

The first attack in Finland is automatic and the hex west of Murmansk is taken.

Land Combat:
Germany

The next attack is a 4:1+2 on the Blitzkrieg table against the Soviets west of Lvov. The Fractionals succeed (a 562 was thrown). The Land throw was a 7(9) and the Soviets lose two units and the armour is shattered.

Land Combat:
Germany

The third attack is in clear terrain southeast of Brest-Litovsk. The odds are 3:1+3 on the Blitzkrieg table.

The Fractionals succeed (a 586 is thrown). The land combat is a 1 and the Germans lose a unit while the Soviets retreat. All attackers are disorganised.

Land Combat:
Germany

The last German attack is in Bessarabia and is 7:1 Blitz so I don't know why I'm being asked to roll the dice. It's a good job it was automatic as the Fractionals succeeded (a 235 thrown) and the Land throw is a 2.

The Soviets lost a unit and the other was shattered (no conversion). Do you wish to lose the ART or the INF?

Air Rebase:
Japan

[Adopts a David Attenbrough voice]: A couple of lonely carrier planes look in vain for a carrier on which to land. This species, once numerous in this part of the world, is now only slightly less close to extinction than the carriers on which they seek to find shelter.

Reorganisation:
Germany

Manstein and Rommel reorganise the surviving units from the disastrous attack and a couple of bombers are also turned face up.

M/J 43 Allies 6

No DoW or alignments. CW adds Polish units to force pool.

CW, USSR, China: Land
US: Combined.

US moves the old BB's from Manilla to South China Sea 3-box (I decline the intercept). TRANS from Kwajalein moves to West Coast 0-box. TRANS on Sicily sails to East Med 0-box and loads CW INF from Tripoli.

US uses Salt Lake City to imitate searching in South China Sea. No air is added. Japan can add a B5N2 from Hong Kong up to the 2-box?
