Anybody ever tried since allied ss suck so bad early in the war just using the us ones for a mining campain even though their mine load out is horrible?

Yeah - but the IJN has a LOT of MSWs... [8|]

If they're clearing mines in their own ports then they aren't on ASW duties or clearing defensive minefields.

The seafires that much better than the wildcats? just contemplating sending british carriers to reinforce my american ones so i get some better cap.

It may just be national pride, but I doubt it [:D] The Seafire is a better fighter, but it's short range means it's not too good offensively. Vs the AI in 1943 my Seafire squadrons decimated the KB air units over the course of 2-3 days. Don't forget the FAA operates off of armoured decks, if you can keep the IJN at long range then the Seafires should clear up, as the Jap bombs won't penetrate the flight decks[:)]

Seafires make ace fleet defence fighters! Pop them in to a joint RN US CV force and crank the seafires up to max cap job done!
