What is the best, current, plane that Japan has for killing tanks in open terrain? Nicks?

Target is strictly a motorized column.

I thought your LI was increased to offset that loss.

No, we started with the DBB-C version before that change was made.

You might want to address that failing now...and get it fixed.

Lots and lots of waves of bombers at night on Magwe. Dinah KAI challenges every single wave and not a single hit is scored or fighter destroyed. Excellent.[:)]

One bombing raid on the Magwe push, which is almost in the jungle, and Nippon fighters drop two 4es and 1 fighter.

I have started ground bombardments in Rangoon now...in addition to Prome. Japan loses 3 lcu vp, Allies 8 lcu vp.

So nothing really great...although I think the Allies are running a surface group into Akyab at night, and then having them return to port and disband in the hopes of surprising my naval bombardment groups. Will think on a way of catching them.

Betties are going to try for a high altitude night bombing raid on Prome where there continue to be 40 enemy fighters. Maybe I will get lucky, but really just a pesky raid.

Japanese forces 2 miles away from getting into the jungle ridge west of Magwe. Allies have managed to get 5 units there...one of which is probably US Marines.[X(]

The Allies try to bomb the Magwe push again, and are shot done quite nicely.

Burma

Big picture.

Magwe push almost in the jungle...another infantry division unpacked at Magwe. Where should they go...reinforce the Magwe push? Or threaten the dirt road somewhere else?

Bombardment group and escorting destroyers are not spotted. This area is a gap in Allied search. I can hit Akyab again...or go in and look for a surface engagement. I haven't spotted any cargo ships in over a week...since I sunk quite a few.

Still 40 allied fighters at Prome. Bad weather keeps cancelling night bombing attacks on Prome...but there is a lot of nasty AA there too.

Tough getting reliable search up with all the bad weather.

Wait with the decision on the ID until you know if you have enough on the push or if it needs reinforcements? [:)]

My thoughts too. I will know in two days.

Nothing too great going on this turn...continue shipping out supplies, juggling troops, building forts, training, and working on the economy. Of note here is that Urumchi is now down to 6000 oil, but I cannot get fuel or resources to flow out.

I have another bombing raid set for Imphal, which is his big transport base, and I am sending my surface ships in looking for a night engagement at Akyab. I have reason to believe Allied ships are running in at night trying to surprise surface bombardment groups. We shall see what happens.

Another deliberate attack in China against isolated troops as I work my west into the mountains...lots of bombardment attacks in Burma and China.

Central Pacific is quiet. Norpac is quiet.

My first George factory repairs to 30. I don't have an engine bonus, and only one other factory in r&d so it won't come more than a month early. Shame. I now have 16 repaired Sam J and 11 Ki202 research facilities...J1N1-s Irving NF factories continue to repair very slowly -- highest one is 24.[:(]

Send the division to the hex NE of where you are pushing along with two small units. Then create move arrows to threaten two new hexes of the road and where you are currently attacking. Allies will need to cover two new hexes in brigade force lest you send a division that way. Roll a die to select which of the three moves actually has the division.

That is a good thought.[&o] I was even thinking of going one further and threatening advances all across the western line.

I was looking at my losses in Prome, and my tractors have taken it on the chin. How does that loss effect the artillery? Simply in movement or in other ways too?

As far as I know, tractors are just filler devices to increase the supply requirements and stacking value for the big guns. I have set them to stockpile so no longer replace losses in them.

At least 5 submarine attacks on cargo ships bound for Akyab...we eventually run low on torpedoes and gun ammo...

No night bombing by either side. IJN surface ships run into Akyab, don't spot anything, and leave...

I had forgotten about these guys, but they make a run on the cargo ships in Akyab...it is not the Prince of Wales, but I will take it.

Perhaps the best looking air raid of the war is pulled off at Imphal.

Only 17% damage to the runway, and no transports are present.[:(]

New planes for the rest of 1943.

Is there anything to get really excited about on this list?

I should also get the Betty 3a, Oscar IV, Ki100I, Myojo.

Rex?
