Just tracking the Maryborough attack...
our bombardment destroyed 2 squads disabled more...
Brisbane swept by 67 Zeroes, we grounded our air force. 2nd day of big sweeps, bet tomorrow he sends the bombers in in an attempt to damage the Canberra.

Cardiac care in the US is exceptional, while it doesn't stop the worry, the facts are that good outcomes are the norm and hopefully your brother will experience that.ORIGINAL: Lowpe
Ok, true believers...we are looking at a little more than a week hiatus from the game...have to travel and take care of my brother who is undergoing heart surgery early next week.
Might get one more turn in, don't know.
Hoping for a good outcome next week!![]()
My brother just underwent one this past Monday, came through with flying colours.

Lowpe: Just caught up. I hope your brother is doing fine.

Operation a success![:)] Thanks for all your well wishes.[&o]
Back home, all caught up and recovered from a redeye...spring has sprung a bit, red wing black birds, cowbirds showing up at the feeder, some bulbs coming up. Not quite like walking along the long beach looking at the Queen Mary.
Went to the Patton Museum east of Palm Springs in the desert...very interesting, got a picture of a Japanese 47mm AT gun and of course Stuarts while dodging the rattlesnakes.[:D]

True believers, the war continues!
Oscars sweep Kalgoorlie, which has no CAP, but rather some heavy AA guns.

Rather than having fighters everywhere, for the most part we concentrated at Brisbane. The Marines in their Wildcats did very well without losing a plane, they were the top layer of CAP. P40Es did the worst, and they were the lowest layer.
Scratch that, -- the Zeroes did the worst.[:)]
I was expecting bombers to arrive, but they didn't.
Our flak continues to nail recon planes, but I have a tough time spotting where. Not watching the replay close enough, or the sounds are a bit laggy?

Big deliberate attack in Changsha, where we have the junkiest of Chinese troops defending...Hard to tell where the major IJA tank thrust is going from Kweilin

The benefits of good terrain, no valid retreat path in defense is being shown here by the Dutch. Plus Prep and HQ bonus.

Setting up the logistics has been a big effort for the Allies in February. Really good progress, I think.

Tank spearhead spotted...our defensive moves seem sound, with a large clash anticipated south of Tuyun in x3 terrain.
Continued infiltration of Japanese supply line will help, if only marginally.
I think there is another British AT unit on the way, but for now I have lost them on the map somewhere.

Looking at bases to build up in this area.
Already building up Rapa, the far south base, it can get to 35K troops, port 2 afb 2 (5,5 with the plus 3). Then we need to build bases to protect it...Not sure if Japan is coming this far east, but you never know.
There are several nice ones to chose from...what do AFBs normally do?

Judging by the flurry of updates you missed putting colored text onto the screenshots those days. A lot [:)]

I would have reservations about Rapa.
East of Samoa I would focus first on these locations.
1. Penrhyn Island
2. Rarotonga
3. Bora Bora
4. Tahiti
5. Nuka Hiva
6. Hiva Oa
All these bases allow a minimum port size 4. I wouldn't look at any location which cannot have a port size 4. An airfield size 5 or more is desirable. Both Penrhy Island and Rarotonga fail the airfield size criterion but those locations essentially serve as triggers.

Patton Museum? I thought that it was at Fort Knox before. Maybe they moved it.
