Hi all,

Today it feels like spring is in the air. The first day of spring. Although, we have had two blizzards previously during this month, and I suspect more snow in Mars than during the entire winter. And the weather people mutter about stormy weather coming in from Norway, and cold weather coming in from the Arctic.

So it would not be surprising if spring had another setback. But if it does, then I am going to grumble. Spring is here, and that is all there is to it. In my humble opinion.

We have temperatures of over +20 degrees Centigrade for 7+ days now... spring is in the full swing... Japanese cherries already blossomed...

Seems to be a hello and weather thread, so, hello from Provence, where I have 3 weeks hol and have decided to try WITPAE again and it is sunny and 20 deg (lots of cherry blossom). I am a long time WITE player, and have tried WITPAE a couple of times, so I hope/expect to get drawn in

No progress on the layout in the last week, but I hope to get back at it this weekend. I was at a train show that my club set up at a local retirement home last week. Lots of fun. Also, my time has been put into my latest dive into a long time interest:

I've had an interest in the drums forever but never really considered learning until I stumbled across a deal on this electronic set that I couldn't pass up. Having a ton of fun with it so far as I wrestle with learning the very basics.

Yesterday it was sunny 23 degrees Centigrade - today is 11 degrees Centigrade and raining... but it is NOT snowing...

I am so jealous right now. Looking out at that inch of snow that arrived yesterday, and I can not help but be jealous of warmer parts of the world. A vacation trip to southern Europe right now would be nice.

At least the snow make it brighter outside.

I wanted to play the drums as well, but was forced to take flute lessons first, and then some other instruments, before being allowed to take drum lessons. Years of lessons on other instruments I had no interest in, and even less skill. Bah.
