The original was by the Pixies (I believe from the film Fight Club), but this version is sung by a female; the piano and strings that accompany the vocal are simply the dogs dangly bits

I just downloaded and am listening to Howard Shore's LORD OF THE RINGS SYMPHONY.....it's not a true symphony in the classical sense, but a good survey of the music from Jackson's trilogy. Not as demanding a listen as the 9 cd complete music set that is out, and better than the single disc highlights.

Ive been going through your selections these past few months and Im seriously wondering what kind of fungus have you been shooting into your veins these days? Youve got 60's & 70's classic rock mixed with trance followed by Japanese glam-techno-pop combined with metal from AC/DC with alternative and synth and Pink floyd thrown in for color!? What kind of audiophile do you purport to actually be? Do you actually listen to all this (Ill admit not all of it is crap) or is it just some kind of smoke-screen for some latent tensions?? Id truly be interested to read your psych battery results. [8|]

There is an advert on British TV at the moment for Thomson Holidays. The advert contains a beautiful song which I have just found on itunes. Can't find a video of the song, but attach a clip from the advert.

The original was by the Pixies (I believe from the film Fight Club), but this version is sung by a female; the piano and strings that accompany the vocal are simply the dogs dangly bits [&o]

Thank you warspite1 for bringing Sunday Girl with "Where is my mind" to my attention. I've been listening all morning myself. For some reason this song made me think of Dixie Chicks so I moved on to them. But I do suspect that Sunday Girl will make many reapperances on my computer. [:)]
