I then find that the other ships and air cover in the 0-box aren't available for the combat. Had I known that would be the case, I wouldn't have risked this second intercept. My preference will be to redo this and move them to my alternative. Mayhemizer, okay with you?

This is correct. Only moving units and units that find are included.

I had this rule wrong as recently as last year.

USSR 5-3 INF is not blocking any attacking units (I don't have enough of them). I was worried they might move one or two INF to NE or NW of city... Now I will try to take it with some air and HQ support.

I also hope I finally hit that MECH...

Japan chooses to destroy bomber, they think there will be more naval air combats coming in near future and a good fighter might be needed.

This is not how Japs planned it to go... 15 would have been AA and 5 would have been DX, so close!

Where do fighter land, on CV Hornet or CV Wasp?

Japs stay for more, how about US? US has "only" 20% chance to shoot down Japanese fighter and Japan has "spectacular" 30% chance to shoot down US fighter.

On a 3 intercept is successful. Japs hoped CW to intercept so that they can't give shore bombardment to Singapore. But Japs don't have ships to be sacrificed, so they stay in Bay of Bengal instead of hunting CP's.

I should have sent only 2 ships, so that the last ship could have sailed next impulse to sink those CP's...
