i was watching old X-files (season 3) on DVD the other night... there was a WW2 episode on (sort of)...

An American submarine was being pursued by an IJN DD... in August 1945.

The submarine had been sent out to find out what happened to/try to recover a 3rd A-bomb the US had sent out...

A B-29 and some escorting P-51 were all shot down! [X(]

This being X-files, they were shot down by Foo-Fighters/UFOs. [:D]

In 1999 (or was it '98?) there was an F5 that passed between Oklahoma City and Norman and leveled my mom's apartment complex. She was at her church at the time (it wasn't a Sunday, but she was one of the deacons) and so liked to tell me "See, son, good things happen to people who go to church!".

Of course, tornadoes are almost unheard of in the area where this heathen lives... [;)]
