OOTPB 2007 is very good, comparisons to PureSim notwithstanding (I had forgotten Matrix even DID a baseball sim, as the marketing on the site is more geared to the wargames).

HellPatrol, while Mary is important, lets not forget that medieval Catholicism did not allow women to work in the corporation. The second memo goes, as Paster said, to the Ghost guy in charge of marketing. Mary is the company spokesperson (has her own costume and appears in many of the commercials).

But around here it is more "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!" Anybody know where that saying comes from? Is it World War II or does it predate that?

Lol I get more comments about my avatar....it's Veronica Lake she was a movie actress waaaaaay back in the prime of movies and when stars were stars not Paris Hilton's. ;) I've not seen one female star of today with the glamor (or is it glamour you euro's are so picky lol) of the female stars of yesterday.

Here's a photo page if you want to look at some more of her.
http://silverscreensirens.com/veronica.htm

she was born in 1919 if you wanted to know how old she was. ;)

Here's another oldie but goodie as well ....Rita Hayworth ;)
http://www.silverscreensirens.com/rita.htm

Brigitte Bardot was probably one of the first to break the glamor mold and chime in sex appeal as is with most all actresses of today. Glamor is dead and sex appeal is in.

Enjoy.

Thank you Ravinhood, the posture, background and general demeanor of the actress reminded me of the fifties. Perhaps the mistress of an nazi evil scientist which is preparing an army of giant robot in his secret base if you understand what I mean (something like the atmosphere of Captain Sky also, even if in Captain Sky, the scenario has been butchered and the dialogues are ridiculous, but this is another topic)

Perhaps it's the black n white image that is alluring? Since we have lived in a world of rainbow colors for so long now on the silver screen, black n white can be sexy like a neglige eh? ;)

If your Veronica Lake's hair was colored black she would look exactly like Gomez's wife(Adams family). She was'nt half bad looking either.

didn't ask, but seeing as you mentioned it, yes it is. But it's purely my opinion.
ummm, it's a mild joke, pal, you know - "JudgeDredd" - "judgmental." Intended as harmless fun among friends...

I Am The Law

Fifteen years in the academy
He was like no cadet they'd ever seen
A man so hard, his veins bleed ice
And when he speaks he never says it twice
They call him Judge, his last name is Dredd
So break the law, and you wind up dead
Truth and justice are what he's fighting for
Judge Dredd the man, he is the law
DROKK IT!

With gun and bike he rules the streets
And every perp he meets will taste defeat
Not even Death can overcome his might
Cause Dredd and Anderson, they won the fight
When the Sov's started the Apocalypse war
Mega-City was bombed to the floor
Dredd resisted, and the judges fought back
Crushed the Sov's with their counter-attack
DROKK IT!

Respect the badge - he earned it with his blood
Fear the gun - your sentence may be death because...

I AM THE LAW!
And you won't fuck around no more - I AM THE LAW
I judge the rich, I judge the poor - I AM THE LAW
Commit a crime I'll lock the door - I AM THE LAW
Because in Mega-City... I AM THE LAW

In the cursed earth where mutants dwell
There is no law, just a living hell
Anarchy and chaos as the blood runs red
But this would change if it was up to Dredd
The book of law is the bible to him
And any crime committed is a sin
He keeps the peace with his law-giver
Judge, jury, and executioner
DROKK IT!

CRIME - The ultimate sin
Your iso-cube is waiting when he brings you in
LAW - It's what he stands for
Crime's his only enemy and he's going to war
LEAD BREAKCRIME - The ultimate sin
Your iso-cube is waiting when he brings you in
LAW - It's what he stands for
Crime's his only enemy and he's going to war

Ah, good old Anthrax...

I got into them on the I am the man!LP.You gotta love them to listen to the same song three times with slight variations.One thing i thought cool about them and Metallica was their love of HP Lovecraft.

Though i'm a huge ABBA Fan also..but i will spare you the lyrics of Dancing Queen...for now.MUHAWAWAWA!

Gentlemen, here is a new patch, mainly aimed at fixing the bugs spotted since friday. With things calming down on this aspect, you can expect AI upgrades soon now.

http://ageoddl.telechargement.fr/latest/AACW_Patch.zip

================================================== ============================
AGEod's American Civil War Update 1.02 Readme
Thursday, April 26, 2007
================================================== ============================

This patch contains all changes since the start.
You can continue a saved game created before the patch. Most entry will apply, but not all.

================================================== ============================
Bugs Fixes
================================================== ============================
fixed: In the lower resolution supported (1024x768), message resizing were not working.
fixed: A lock-up in the supply distribution segment has been corrected.
fixed: Ships will no longuer suffer hits for moving in fair weather seas.
fixed: Replacements were not gained properly by many units types.
fixed: ships were sometime able to interdict the passage between 2 land regions without a river.
fixed: Divisions will now split properly to the last element.

================================================== ============================
User Interface
================================================== ============================
You have a new option to have the map focus on an enemy move during hosting (Options/Media window)
Units prevented from merging with others stacks will keep the option from turn to turn.
Clicking on Rail/River move will now recalculate their path.
The "Save Under a new name" procedure (ctrl-click on the save button) has been rewritten to prevent file locking.
A new document, the leaders file has been added to the docs folder of the game.
Remaining number of turns is displayed when you pass the mouse over the turn text.

================================================== ============================
Scenarios Additions and Changes
================================================== ============================
Some duplicates volunteers brigades removed.
Problem with sharpshooters having a cavalry name fixed.
The St Louis Massacre event has its loyalty change fixed.
General Lee should unfix correctly in the second part of 62, at the latest.

================================================== ============================
AI
================================================== ============================
AI considers better the entrench level of the enemy when judging when and where to attack.

Everything should work on your current game, except events which have already fired, as you can guess. For events who have not yet triggered, the game will dynamically use the modified ones.
Kudos to Pocus, this guy never sleeps...

Best regards,

Korrigan

I don't click on links I'm leery about, where does that take one? ;)

And really it would behoove Korrigan to send me a copy of the game to "test". Am I not one of the most acclaimed negative critics in all of gaming history? ;) If I "test" it and I like it can you imagine the IMPACT my "positive" review of the game would have???!! ;)

Well, I suppose I can cut you some slack here, because it is turn based...so I suppose you might be able to say something positive....but....mmm...I don't know...I'm not convinced...give us a taster?
