Hmm I do not know this mod, but I see alot of Jap flattops off Java, is it all of them? If so, do you have ships and troops that you can ship to Pago Pago to make sure you hold it?
I am guessing Suva is a lost cause?

And although your devastators perform well against ships with low AA value, they tend to be chewed up if you try to attack high AA-value targets, so do not expect wonders from them.

How are you doing in China? Will you fight in Burma? What do you expect your opponents to do? How much of N-Australia will you give up? Did you manage to save anything of the Dutch forces?

I'd suggest gettting some ships out of the Shipyards in PH, they look seriously over-capacity so you're slowing down nearly all your ships. A lot of ships are probably better off having their systems damage repaired at pierside and then fully repaired on the West Coast.

Looks like he's going for the Tjitilap landing on Java. Nothing too unique about this approach, but it does pose risk for him if he hasn't yet taken supporting airfields on Sumatra / Billiton, for example. What are your available air forces like on Java? Can you stack some additional troops on the Tjitilap landing site?

Hope you've been able to get some of your Java troops out of harm's way to date. They'll be being beseiged soon enough.

Just a short update, fishbed dropped out for the allies and Nomad is my partner now. The enemy has marched all over the pacific. Northern Australia has fallen along with most of the southeast pacific islands. It is only mid Feb and the allies are just trying to hold on until we can turn things around. I have all the allied carriers and am doing conversions of both Battle cruisers to carries along with 2 CVEs. Will post screen shots of the next turns to show everyone where things stand.

Just picked up this AAR again and am glad to see it still going. I'm playing against the Japanese AI in Juan's same variant. It's quite interesting to have the new ships. My BBs have been seriously hammered, with about 10 lost (Dec. 7 and 8 weren't too kind, plus a few RN BBs are in Davey Jones' locker). Unfortunately, the AI doesn't put more than two CVs in a TF, so as long as you keep 4 CVs concentrated you can't lose a carrier fight.

Anyway, it looks like your opponents are seriously aggressive. I don't see how you can fail to ping them hard in late '42 or early '43 as those Essexes/Ticonderogas and Iowas roll off the drydocks quicker than real life. They're going to have to defend a lot of territory. Also, you will have some very long-range B-19s and P-71s available, although I have yet to figure out how to best use them. On the flipside, they have something called the "Mike" early on, which will shred your fighters and even 4E bombers unlike those Oscars or Nates. As Elmer Fudd says, "Be bewy, bewy careful."

As to our plans, I will say that Nomad is covering everything North and west of Australia so he will have to say exactly what he is planning. As for me, the poor US guy I have been seriously defensive due to enemy carriers/surface task forces which appeared all over in December and January. Due to the number of enemy carriers present I am not risking our carriers to far from Pearl right now. Am concerting both BC's to carriers and also have 2 CVEs being converted as well. The problem is Australia. Because they have advanced so far so fast I have very little on the ground to stop them. I have been resting the divisions I do have to get them as combat ready as possible. Due to the supply route from America being disrupted planes and ground forces have not gotten going yet but it is in the plan. Most of 42 will be defensive unless they really stick their necks out. Southeast Asia doesn't look too bad. apparently the game was started with an agreement for a quiet China so I have continued that. I pulled back units in the Northern Plains into the Forest and Rough terrain to have a better defensive line. I am waiting to see what they will do there. Malaysia is completely gone and they are moving into Burma. I will not seriously contest Burma, contenting myself with a withdrawal that will try to slow them down but not ruin my forces. Most of the important bases in the DEI are lost, they just have some mop up work to do.

My main plan for the next few months is to move supply and fuel to both India and Cape Town, improve and upgrade my forces in India, build my bases up. I am micromanaging my India Inf 42 troop upgrades and expect to have them all done in about 30 days. I have 100+ Hurricane IIbs so I can do some sweeps when they get close enough to a base I have built the airfield and have aircraft and supply at. I have British Bombers available if I can gain air superiority so I can use them.

To me it appears that our opponents have put a lot of resources and effort into invading Australia and the South Pacific. That means that in 6 months or so I should have the forces to push into Burma. I have the 18th British Division but the 6th and 7th Australian IDs are being moved to Australia, Miller41 needs them. It all remains to be seen how the air war goes over Burma. If I can gain air superiority I can afford to move back into Burma. If not, I stay in India for a while longer.

It's seems very similar to my last PBEM. Australia will need LOT of supplies, and every aircraft available. US troops there is must, even via Cape Town, but you must add troops to the initially roster of ANZAC troops or u will be able to hold it ( I know it by my proper own experience ). If he conquers all Australia, 4:1 should be at hand, so be careful.

Another couple of turns, not much happening. In the CBI I continue to build bases, upgrade devices and ship fuel and supply everywhere I can. I think Miller41 is about to try and land a large force of reinforcements at Pago Pago, I hope he is successful.

A second turn today and nothing exciting on the West side of the map. But the Evil Empire has invaded Pago Pago and Miller41 is getting frustrated. The IJN has a lot of excellent toys to play with in this mod and they are playing with all of them at full bore. I'm not sure if Ken will make an entry or not, if we do a turn tomorrow I will take a screenie or too of his newly infected areas( they are also landing in Northeastern OZ ). Ken really has his hands full right now.
