Yes, please. Use the FTR2 from the hex being striked. Stay to the end.

Edit: Target enemy bomber for As, and the fighter for a X. Land in hex 54,31 if the FTR2 survives.

Sorry, I shouldn't have rolled at the same time. Because I knew your wishes I thought I could roll at the same time, but forgot that my choices still mattered. I would have taken the front bomber as below, which I believe in this situation is pretty obvious to most players.

It is ok for me to roll both air combat rolls at the same time whenever you feel that the choice on what to pick is clear to you.

Practicality, and easiness of play, are also a considerations.

Rain pours heavily, drenching the landscape. In the misty mountains of near Pei river in China, a small shrine stands solemnly amidst the downpour. Lieutenant Hiroshi Kato, a weathered Japanese meteorologist in his late thirties, stares out at the shrine, his face reflecting a mixture of sorrow and determination.

The Lieutenant, wearing a soaked military uniform, clutches a samurai sword tightly in his hands. The weight of his failure weighs heavily on his heart.

Lieutenant Kato (to himself, in Japanese) I have failed... Failed in my duty to predict the weather accurately. Lives will be lost, battles disrupted... dishonouring my ancestors and my country.

A distant rumble of thunder echoes through the mountains, emphasizing his anguish. Lieutenant Kato takes a deep breath, his resolve strengthening.

Lieutenant Kato (to himself, with determination) But my honour can be restored. With one final act, I can regain the pride that has been tarnished. Kato's gaze falls on the traditional short sword in his belt.

Unbeknownst to Lieutenant Kato, General Yamamoto, and his aides observe the scene from a distance. Their presence signifies the gravity of the Lieutenant's decision.
