Interesting. Stepped outside for a schmoke. I looked up to see a flock of about 90 canada's fly over; interspersed with about 10 swan's. The canada's must have recruited the swans to run interference for the next hunting season, since swans are protected. Very clever those canada's.[;)]

Or the swans are very stupid.

Yeah, >60F here too. Quick question, Shani-does the 44 ft. wall of meltwater heading your way 'damp' your spirits any? Just curious. [:'(]

Piece of cake.[8D] A 54' valley tsunami might have me reaching for a pail. The Red is rising though, about 18" today. The river is at 27.5'. Flood stage is 28'. So it won't be long from now.

Nice and tropical outside.[8D] I cracked open the upstairs windows. Nice.[8D] I'm in heaven.[8D]

Happy weekend, Brothers! I'm very soon heading out of the office to pick up my race packet for tomorrow's Sprint distance Triathlon. First one in 7 years. [8D]

So I have this project to draft the lines of a French frigate from 1800. Francois Charton went the extra mile for me and got the Devis de Execution from the archives of Service historique de le Defense.

And Francois is a musician. He tells me what and who he is messing with. So that’s what I listen to while I’m cutting and shaping wood for my project. But transferred a big audio file over to the work laptop, and fired it up. The whole room was warm with Back, Shostakovich, Schnittke.

But then, out of nowhere, here comes Jerry Garcia. Was likely my default. Sugar Magnolia and Touch of Grey. Living in Cali and being a deadhead, I prolly put them onto my music downloads. Oh well.

The shoe on the hand that fits, there's really nothin' much to it
Whistle through your teeth and spit, 'cause it's all right
Oh well a touch of grey, kinda suits you anyway,
That is all I had to say, if it's all right
I will get by, I will get by, I will get by, I will survive

“We” will get by, X3 then fade.’ We will survive’., JWE

Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Brent Mydland, Mickey Hart & Bill Kreutzman, Alpine Valley 1989.

Well the first days are the hardest days, dont you worry any more,
cause when life looks like easy street, there is danger at your door.
Think this through with me, let me know your mind,
Wo, oh, what I want to know, is are you kind?

Goddamn, well I declare, have you seen the like?
Their walls are built of cannonballs, their motto is don’t tread on me.
Come hear uncle johns band playing to the tide,
Come with me, or go alone, he’s come to take his children home.
