I know I guess things like hyper accuracy sometimers bug me v playability

e.g. seperate pools of some common types of CW aircraft e.g. Beaufort, Beafighter, Kittyhawk, Spitfire, Ventura they are all split into penny packets across all CW nations to represent different national pools but individually each pool is to small to be effective with the air model.

e.g. I get an RAAF Spit VIII and an RAF Spit VIII pool one gets 20 per month and the other 32 - would far rather have one aircraft available to both gettign 50 per month penny packets = PITA

Beaufighters - 12 RAF per month, 6 RAAF - neither AF has enough to fight thats basically enough to keep 1 Sqn in the air for each nation and then barely - a single pool of 18 far better, Beau X

Mosquito VI - basically 12 RAF, 12 RAAF and then later 24 Canadian simply not enough need more concentrated pools and replacement rates not enough pool density for the air model

Historically accurate - hell yeah - playable yes but able to compete no

The problem, and the accuracy within the game, is that these pools where not geographically capable of supporting/swapping airframes. I've seen a lot of games where RCAF & RAAF units are sent to India to provide a concentration of units.

Add to this that some of the Beauforts, Beaufighters & Mosquitos where made in Australia.

I dont know how the emergency reos get activated, but a series of lines closer to Calcutta / NW Australia to activate extra squadrons or convoys carrying extra aircraft would be nice, or a plump convoy sitting at Rosyth which needs hundreds of PP to release.

In one of my games, in 1943-44 I had a number of RAF squadrons still usinh Buffalo & Mohawks as rear area defence and training. I also use many SBC Helldivers and SBU Vindicators in the rear to cover convoys.

I have 3 RAF Sqns in Bufffalos, 2 in Mohawks and 1 in Hurricane Mk 1's

4 RAF and IAF Fighter Bomber Sqns are in Fulmers for lack of anythign better

1 Bomber Sqn in Audaxes another in Waipitis, 1 in Blenheim 1's and 3 in Lysanders....

So thats 16 Sqns in obsolete aircraft because I have nothing better to put them in.......

7 other Sqns are in the naval search versions of Wellingtons or Liberators because I have nothing better to put them in

So thats 23 Sqns basically out of my offensive OOB because of lack of aircraft

1 sqn in Blenheim IV, 1 in VD, 2 in Hudson III's, 3 in Vengeance DB's, 3 in Beaus or Hurrican IV's and 4 Sqns in Bomber Variants of Lib or Wellington, 7 in Various Marks of Spit and 10 in Hurricane IIc are the best in my armoury

So about 31 Sqns of front line (arguably) aircraft......

So 40% of the RAF and IAF are basically useless through lack of aircraft.

The next patch will help a little

But basically at present I get

FB - 16 Beaufighters, 12 Mosquitos and 6 Hurricane FB replacements a month
Bombers - 15 Lib IV's per month and 6 WellingtonsBX's for a few more months
Fighters - 12 Vc's and 32 VIII's but with 40 Thud I's arriving at end of month
DB's - 25 Vengeance I's with over 150 in pool

So Fighters will slowly recover and I can probably convert a few Bomber Sqns to DB's to increase available Sqns

Perhaps u should change the scheme of their missions ? I mean: Use the LB just for night missions, fighters just in defensive missions, Mosquitos at night intruder's missions... in order to get the pool up.

RAF and IAF at WitpAE are always one of the more weak air asset of the allieds. Mainly defensive jobs. Historically they didn't do as much strategic warfare as u are doing, not so much extensive, so all those losses are, at the long run, unaffordables.

Tomorrow the B29's make their operational debut 50 of them are ordered to support an airstrike on Palmyra as my carriers do a flyby providing escort.

I am hoping the sheer number of fighters will give PZB pause........

Lets see what happens

Terapo fwell today and Merauke will be next

Are you trusting purely to react, or are you also keeping your carriers moving a few hexes each day so that PzB can't calculate an 8-strike hex? Couldn't react result in half your carriers reacting and half staying put?
