I seem to recall that Warspite1 once had the last post in every thread on page one of this forum. And that all those threads were threads that he once had started.

...and we did not get rid of Adebayor or Fazio.....

Good grief [:@]
I thought that Adebayor had some quality.

When he can be bothered he is a fine player. But as Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid, and Spurs have found to their cost, he is very often less than bothered..... [&:]

And while we are on the subject of [&:][:@][8|][:-], I see that the rumours that Lamela was on his way out have not come true... I would have kept Lennon over Lamela any day of the week.

That is a real bummer. I have always preferred players who give their best at any given situation.

Well. For the team, yeah, for me, nah [:D]
Seriously, we are NOT good enough, and now the Norwegian FA are telling us on radio how Croatia is a world leading football nation...
If they think Croatia are that hard to beat, why even try to get to the championship, where we would have to go up against teams like Germany, France, Italy and Spain?

(Hmm, I wonder why my teachers through the years always told me I used too many commas and hence created too long sentences [:'(])

Scotland, according to reports, did not have single shot on target during the whole game against Geogia. That's got to be worrying.

And Iceland are living the dream. [:)]

Best wishes,

Sadly, Scottish football is in something of a mess - and has been for some time. But as Iceland are showing, it's not all about size.

Sorry about that. I edited my post before I saw yours.

The Icelanders can be proud of their team. The Dutch ... oh dear.

I just have no idea what has happened to the Dutch football team this campaign.
They have a great team on paper.

Iceland![X(]
Czech Republic, they have a decent team.
Turkey, when they really want to win, they can, most often they forget to concentrate as a team and lose.

Holland really have to expect a miracle. Hope to defeat the Czech's and wish for a defeat of Turkey against the Czech's.

I really wonder what the odds are there.

We have not properly recruited in the close season, leaving us stupidly light in strikers. Despite the fact that we cannot score goals, too much reliance and pressure is heaped on young Harry Kane, we have Premier League unknowns in Son and N'Jie (are either really strikers anyway?) the fact that this strange individual has gone can only be a good thing for the club.

Indeed.

But morale in the squad should improve now. Right?
