It is odd in a way. The weather is hot and sunny. Yet we are sitting right at historic flood stage levels here. You simply would not believe how wide the Mississippi is ; many miles across. Levy to levy. And all of the tributary rivers as well. We have friends whose farms are under 20, 30 feet of water !

It's a bad deal. Flood season is about over here up north. 1997 in places the river was 30 miles wide. Don't want to ever see that again. I live only a couple hundred yards from the river, just like in '97. I'll nver learn. In dikes I trust. The new ones anyway.
