West Med

Allies initiate combat with French CL in 0-box. Whirlwind flies to 0-box. Germans can fly Condor to 3-box and Ftr to 1-box. Italian Navs can make 2-box. G.50 the 1-box and C.200 the 0-box. Any fliers?

If it is not possible, then I use points for AA fire.

You are correct. AA is lowest 1 of 5.

The Jap AA gunners are on the money with rolls of 10, 7, 6, 10, 6. A CVP is destroyed and another reduced by 1.

2 points are used to reduce damage from D, 3A to D, A.

The rolls favour the Japs.

Yep. Normal service is resumed. Minor successes where it doesn't really matter but in crucial areas either the search fails or, where it succeeds, the subsequent combat rolls turn what should have been a winning position into a loss.

Well, there's a surprise. Having been screwed over in the first round, the searches throw up a pair of 7's. No combat.

Nationalists send A-20 and 105 mm to Ground Strike Canton. Only partially successful.

Soviets make a couple of minor moves in the Urals. Mao and a couple of Inf head back to Korea for anti-partisan work. Nationalists move an Inf near Shanghai SE and an Art near Canton.

US Marines invade Eniwetok. Including the notional puts the odds from +21 to +11. Does the Jap cruiser in The Marianas wish to add 1 point defensive shore bombardment?
