Why CW FTR is still in box 0 even if it was aborted from air combat? Shouldn't land based fighters be aborted from combat?

It is possible for both sides to voluntarily abort the same combat. Clarification: Land-based air units, voluntarily aborting from an air-to-air combat back to the sea box section from which they originated, do not become disorganized.
