the "De la Pena" diary says Crockett was executed, but never been proven all of the diary was actually written by the same man at the same time..or that De La Pena actully even knew who david Crockett was..

Yeah... why does that make anything controversial? A person could have easily been knocked out and captured with the fall of the fort. In fact, I find it highly likely that someone may have been flattened in such a manner, and then executed afterwards. It doesn't detract anything from the defenders, except an inhuman invincibility to anything but fatal wounds.

Ah. Basically, making things controversial when they don't have to be. Gotta love the media.

well because he was somehwta of a legend.
kind of like a rock star for his time.
the thought of him surrendering and being executed blows some peoples minds.

Crockett was 49 years old at the time, and was not a soldier, so he did not get the "+10 elite" bonus.

Alby, wouldn't that put him more along the lines of a second-line, according to SPWaW? Meaning he would have a -10 penalty? :P

Sniper then. Heck, I think modern .50 BMG sniper rifles are single shot bolt actions. Costs about $5 a shot for civilian use. $3-5k for the rifle, not counting optics.
