is SH4 gonna have starforce? [&:]
ORIGINAL: Radames
No -- hopefully. Ubi has dropped Starforce from their more recent games.

According to Wikipedia, Ubisoft dropped Starforce when customers complained.

The old SSI, SSG, Microprose and others were loads of fun.  I used to love playing "Battle of Britain" on my C64 in the age of dinos.

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

Microprose had soooooo many classics. It was probably the finest games company of its day...

Pirates, Railroad Tycoon, Gunship, F-15, F-19, Civilization, Master of Orion, Master of Magic, Darklands, Silent Service... Where's my DOS emulator...?[:D]

I remember playing Darklands and one other, the title I can't remember, a secret service/spy type game. [:'(][:'(]

Covert Action... Forgot to mention that one. It had a place wiretap/defuse bomb section where you had to assemble a circuit "puzzle" to succeed. Inspired. Loved it...

StarForce is a much-maligned copy protection program that installs itself on your PC without asking for permission or even given notification about itself. It has been known to cause severe damage to peoples' computers, including making it impossible to burn CD's and DVD's, and it's exceptionally difficult to get rid of, because it buries itself really deeply into your system. Even if you uninstall a StarForce "protected" game, this trojan (that is what it is) stays on your computer.

Thanks for this info. I was unaware of Starforce. My SO's computer has been messed up for over a year and I knew it had something to do with a game she had played. We found and ran the Starforce removal utility and her machine now works much better.

This is the first forum for a game I've ever been on, so I wasn't aware of Starforce.
