Wow. Looks like someone could make money buying the manuals in this country and driving them into Canada. If only there were some real-life Kramers and Newmans...

Dave: I think I got the promo to work but being in Canada the shipping charges are $17.95 via UPS which doesn't make any sense. You can send the manual through the regular mail for a fraction of that. This offer makes the shipping nearly twice the cost of the manual itself. Why doesn't Matrix use the US Mail?

Another reason Matrix should use US mail for international shipments is the exporbitent add on costs that UPS charges sometimes for foreign recipients. They add on a "brokerage fee" which is sometimes as high as $25 and there is nothing you can do about it. So in this case with the brokerage fee (if charged) getting the manual could cost $62 more than the original cost of the game!

The credit card compaines require us to be able to track shipments and that is just not possible. Now before everyone starts emailing about the post office please trust me I look into this in GREAT detail. Also remember the other games will be much easier.

Actually, a real life regular gamer with a good printer on his machine could make money printing up the rules and "Priority Mailing" them to Canadians...

I know it doesn't say it in the store, but you got to have faith with Matrix. [:D] The first item in this forum from David tells you what you are going to get. Just make sure you use the American store. Matrix does games better than how they write just check out one of their manuals[:'(] But they usually do deliver[;)]

So the three options I get are:

PC Physical Shipment ($59.99)
Digital Download PC Download ($49.99)
Physical Shipment Plus Download ($59.99)

Which do I pick? I've tried all three and then applied the promo code and nothing happens?

[:)]I commend your wise business decision enabling your customers to have a shot at the CD+Manual. If i didn't have an order placed since December 4th (dd'd on Nov.29th) for a "Boxed" version at NWSONLINE i would gladly take you up on your offer. It is appreciated and i look forward to smoother running in the future eg:Battlefront[:D].

Gentlemen,

I also ordered Forge of Freedom before the "physical CD" option was available. My order was placed on 12/20/06 itself in the USA, and I downloaded the game via DR. I, too, would like to upgrade to a packaged copy with CD+manual. Unfortunately, when I try to obtain a special promo code, the web page advises me my order # is invalid.

Is there some way I could avail myself of this option?

I can furnish a copy of my invoice upon request.

Appreciations.

I wonder if I can get just a CD version of the game without the manual.  I ordered the game within the first hour that it became available on CD.  I don't even care about the manual at this point.  The wait is killing me.  I need to play this game.  OH THE HUMANITY!!

I had an error come up when I tried to get my promo code and I still can't get it. An email to support was sent on Dec. 21 and I also posted on these forums about it at the time. To date I have not received a reply, acknowledgment, get lost message, etc. about it and would really like to get a printed manual at least. I know that people have been off for the holidays which is why I have waited until now to send this. I also tried to PM Erik and David and both of their inboxes are full according to the message I got when I hit send".

Anyone out there at Matrix????

What he said. Still not available in either UK or Euro stores.

DR will get their act together on this before the deadline expires, hopefully?
