Fall 1940 - The Axis cannot be happy about the result of the first battle in the Med - With the significant losses the Med. theater is not yet under full control... The Axis bomber got two attacks this turn - both times they got shot down with a lucky hit [:(]

But on the positive side an Italian sub commander spotted a lone Allied carrier off Gibraltar and managed to score a hit! He was promptly rewarded the Iron Cross.

Also after the Greek mobilized their forces the Axis was forced to bring the Balkans under control - Yugoslavia was captured with Greece next. The Danish acknowledged that the German Army can much better secure the Straits of Denmark.

Winter 1941 - Northern Europe is in a peaceful state while Southern Europe is blowing up into Flames - the Central Med is becoming an Iron Bottom Sound à la Europe while Greece was overrun by Axis forces.

Odd though that while Greece declared war on Germany first (see pic below) it still did cost Germany regular diplomatic trouble (i.e. some countries shifting allegiances) when invading Greece. A bug...?

For now the Allied have gained the initiative in the Central Med but the Italian shipyards are working 24/7 to repair the damaged Battleships...

On the N. African front, both Armies still face each other.

Turn is with mikemcmann.

Fall 1940 - Soviet Union/China
All quiet on the Eastern front, even though the Germans are building up a menacing force in Romania and Poland. Strange - I thought we had a non-aggression pact? :P

WA - Win 41: The blood bath in the battle for control of N. Africa continues. Monty tries to push the Italian Army into the sea before Goering can intervene.

Fearing the Luftwaffe that deployed to Italy and Greece, the RN left the Central Med and thus allowed the desperate Axis troops in N. Africa to be reinforced - Rommel arrived in Spring 1941 with his Panzers to push The Allied back out of Libya. On the Intelligence front - some production data from the Soviets...

P.S. my PC crashed afew times [:@] - sorry for the high load number.

WA / Spring 41 - Apparently Hitler wants the Med. Monty decides discretion is the better part of valor and withdraws to Egypt after the fleet conducts target practice with a few Italian transports. Churchill expects a huge payout from Stalin for time bought.

Summer 1941 - An Air-to-Sea battle over the E. Med ended with significant losses to the WA compared to low casualties on the Axis side. London was successfully blitzed, with two factories damaged. Rommel advances towards Egypt.

Again I must apologize for the high count, my PC is crashing randomly.

Fall 1941 - An Axis air strike on Cairo leaves a WA Fighter and Bomber destroyed with no Axis casualties - Rommel now stands just West of Cairo.

It has been noticed that the Soviets have started to violate the German-Soviet agreement on supply deliveries - the quality of Russian Oil and deliveries are dropping - some manouvers at the Russian border may improve this situation possibly?

Winter 1942 - Rommel is stopped at the gates of Cairo - the (first?) Battle of El Alamein caused high losses within the WA forces but they held out. Meanwhile The German High Command decided that Winter is a good season for extensive manouvers, just to make sure that Russian deliveries will continue to flow - one way or the other...

Spring 1942 - decision to act was made in Berlin - an independent Russia will be no longer considered an useful asset to the new world order. Armoured spearheads reached Leningrad where they were aided by paratroopers in capturing the city and port. The Baltic fleet thus was destroyed as was the Black sea destroyer flotilla.

Cairo continues to be a contested place - Allied repulsed a second attack in Spring 1942, again with high losses on their side. Rommel was telegraphed to take Cairo at all costs...
