I agree with WB and Troopie.

I tend to get very attached to my units as well and woe betide an enemy unit that kills any of my brave lads, 'specially those with a few 'kills' under their belt. I hunt them down mercilessly!

I have just finished 'Eagles on the Move' (bloody awesome WB Image) and I remember the engineer unit attached to the HQ. They had got abt 3 kills and they were marching up towards trouble (a tiger and some h/ts) when they were ambushed in the open by a german rifle squad. They were slaughtered to a man and i was seriously pissed off. I ended up wiping out that german squad with a .50 *G*

But the WOW factor in this game is the graphics and the sound. Well done to Mike Amos and Scott Grasse for this! This game is just so atmospheric!! It really did seem like an early morning D-Day mission. I can't wait to hear all the other weapon sounds in this game. And having hidden mine fields is a really nasty trick too hehe. That poor bazooka unit never knew what hit them!

Btw WB I got a decisive victory for the Yanks in this one and I'll do the campaign next. I'll be sure to let you know how I get on. Happy gaming folks!!

speaking of being atached to your troops. It is even more so when playing a long campaign and you see some of your guys that started out in 1939 get destroyed a few years later. That really sucks. Not to mention you have a hole in your ranks afterwards
