Def Zep, you just reminded me that I have Dunnigan's and Nofi's book "Victory at Sea" - thank you.


Yes. This was basically Mr. Dunnign's & Mr. Nofi's compendium of notes for the design of SPI's "War in the Pacific" (1978) monstergame. Very interesting reading. Their research efforts and boardgames laid the groundwork for many of the computer games we enjoy today; I consider Jim Dunnigan and Al Nofi to be, in many respects, the Lennon & McCartney of historical wargame design.
