The dei. I have had a number of horribly planned and executed landings in the past 2 days. but have learned a valuable leson if you can't go with over whelming force don't go at all.
Currently at tarakan are 2nlfs my landings were attacked last turn by a cruiser tf. he took out a pc and 2 aps and i hit exetor and one dutch cl with 3 torps apeice. one other cl took a torp.
At kuching i have 1 base force 1 naval guard unit 1 slnf and 3 nlfs. but level 4 forts i can't make a dent in. i am rushing a tank reg and a combat engeneer unit to try and fix the situation.
I am pulling the naval guard unit off jolo to try and finish taking tarakan.
I have 2 major landing that i am moving ships and men for as we speak.
First 1 naval guard unit plus 1 tank brigade plus 1 special base force plus any units that are still usable from tarakan will assault balikpapan these will be screened by a cruiser force of 3ca 1 cl and 5 dd.
I am also planning to land at kendari about the same time. this force will consist of 1 naval guard 1 nlf 1 base force plus the 2 nlfs at manado. this will be covered by a sctf of 2bb 2cl and 6dd.
both ops will be covered by the mini kb.

I made landings at palembang with an naval guard unit a special base force and 2 nlfs. I am rushing the 4th mixed brigade to turn the tide in this battle. i feel this base and kendari are the lynch pins of my stratagy to cut off java.

on the way to singapore are the 5th div the 18th div the imperial guard dive and 2 bdes and one mixed brigade. If this isn't enough i have one dive from osaka/kobe on the way(forgot it's name. hopefully i can take singers by the 15th of jan.

the palembang landings have been covered by a 4ca 4dd sctf and now by a large bb tf.

am moving the south seas detach to take salamaua i will then move in 2 nlfs from rabaul. then march over land to take lae. otherwise this area will be quite till i get the dei take care of. the kb is currently south west of truck just in case the americans try and interfear in this area.

In the PI my landings in caygan which i thought would be a slam dunk have turned into another f***up. i have a full div and a full bde there and they can't dislodge the americans i am about to send the div from the southwestern home island city(the one that does not start out assigned to the home defense force) to take care of this area. otherwise this is another area i am going to wait on till after the dei conquest is done before i do anything major.

I've used FireFox for some time, and in fact it's an official standard at the compny I work for (a major Fortune 500 corporation). They're even talking about "sunsetting" IE because of the numerous security issues. And, of course, it's a free download.

Just thought i would give an update[:)]

The balik landing went well forces landed captured the base and were out of there minus one tf i forgot to give orders to before johns' sctf could get there. plus i put 3 fish into one of his cl java as it is retreating. only mistake here was that i forgot to issue orders to a small tf of 2pc 1msw and 3ap to get out of the way of the sctf costing me 2 aps and 2 pcs. other problem here is i forgot to land the base force with the origional landings so it is 3 days out at least[:@]

Kuching fell 3 turns ago and now has 75 torpedo bombers based at it.

Palemburg finaly fell last turn it now has 1 9 plane formation on nells and 1 27 plane formation of bettys plus 1 27 plane zero and oscar squadrons based there.

also tarakan finaly fell 2 days go.

Sent the 4th mixed reg and a tank reg to deal with teloekbetoeng. captured singkawang with a suplimental landing of troops bound for kuching when it fell. also bombarded bratavia with a tf of ca's will bombard next with a tf of bbs and cas just leaving saigon this turn. My plan here is to build up kuching singkawan and palembang to wear down the dutch/british airforce.

Fun. here the baby kb is meeting up with my new cvl and will proceed down the slot between borneo and celebes to try and catch his shipping and his major surface combatants in a battle it will be joined in this by the kb. also balikpapan will be turned into a major airbase as soon as my base force arrives.

I think my next invasion thrust here will be to grab bali and makassar so i can start a major air campain over soerabaja

The americans and the ausies continue to try and close ambonia and have succeded. I am moving my nells elsewhere till i can gain air superiority over here. i have 2 zero squads doing long range cap to try and intercept the bombers.

That is the american kb i have confirmed at least enterprise is in it. it has also spoted my kendari invasion force and i am hoping will take the bait. that is the kb just north or morotai i have instructed it to move to the hex north east of ambonia in hopes of catching john being greedy. i will continue to have the kendari invasion force move in its current direction as bait.

The landing at kendari will consist of the these units in the current taskforce steaming west.

Will just update nothing has realy happend the allied fleet retreated and the kb and mini kb are covering the landings at kendari which is now a day away. unfortunaltely he has sunk 2 of my aps with subs that had the 31st special base force loaded on them[:@]. otherwise i am just reorganizing and mounting an op in the phillipeans which i will update shortly.
